The Clear Fork Colts travel to W.W. Skiles Field to take on the Shelby Whippets with plenty on the line. Shelby clinches at least a share of the MOAC with a win. Both teams appear to strongly be contending for a berth in the region 14 playoffs. Clear Fork could get a piece of the MOAC with a win as well. The last meeting between the two schools took place in 2016 and Shelby won 41-18. Thoughts on this one.....

Even with a loss, Shelby has a 66% chance of qualifying for playoffs. Clear Fork finds themselves in an even better situation if I recall correctly. Shelby benefits indiscriminately from the Ontario v Harding and RV v Lex games, as both games exist as guaranteed points for Shelby. This is a reason why playoffs are relatively assured. CF simply has better wins overall.
From what I understand about these teams, it looks like Shelby plays fairly close to the talent they have each week, whereas CF is all over the place, for better or for worse.

Clear Fork has been trending up, while Shelby has been trending down. Clear Fork with the win.

I like Shelby in this, they can match up well with the skill of CF. Gunna come down to line play and mistakes. I think Shelby eeks out a victory by 3

Whippets just killing themselves with turnovers. Third pick thrown in negative territory. Up 3 with under 8 minutes to go. Just pound Fisher, protect the ball, and work on the clock.

Shelby holds CF to FG attempt, and they miss. Whippets driving after big run by Albert. Under 6 minutes to go.

Fisher the difference in this one. Albert had some nice runs but 3 picks deep in own territory hurt Agree 100%. I’d take a whole team of Owen Fishers. He speaks on the field with his play. No grandstanding. His game speaks for itself. I’d say he had > 200 yards of rushing tonight. The last 20-30 when Shelby needed to kill the clock. Not only did he kill the clock, he scored the game sealing TD.

He did get a lot of yards after contact, though.

That will be a kick to CF's jollies should Bellevue get in and Colts won head-to- head.
