Only way Willard gets beat in the regular season this year is if the team they are playing is way more physical and play tenacious in your face d-fence. We saw that physical aspect in the Upper game and Willard was able to manage through it, with one of Upper's better players sitting 2nd half for what may have been an injury in first half (ankle?). Only team that will be physical with Willard will be Oak Harbor. St Paul is too small to compete against Willard and the 1-3-1 will give them fits. The Pugh kid from Shelby struggles against Willard for some reason and they only have 3 players that score, that won't be enough against Willard. I thought Huron may challenge Willard but right now the Flashes are clicking on all cylinders and that will likely be a 20 point win for Willard. Flashes are doing a nice job with the bench but when they are up by 30 they need to continue to play the adelman, cok and weiss kid as much as they can to get them ready for the tournament, they'll need them. Huron out-rebounded that physical Oak Harbor. The twins were a non-factor, one didn't play much and the other was held in check. Tigers have good size and length, they play some sticky defense. Not saying Willard won't beat them by 20, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this goes down to the wire. And they have used to success that 1-3-1 you talk about. This may be the result of their final basketball bio. I'm told the majority of the move was driven by their feelings being hurt in basketball. The end result may be they lost out on a state championship in one sport and their contribution is status-quo in another.

Willard needs a good challenge or two. I don't think it will even be close though.

Truecrimson, Willard will run over everybody this year. Parrot and Baldridge are unstoppable. If one not on they other one picks up the slack. Willard going to win the State this year...

In high school Stover WAS a rarity. At 6-5 230 he played skill positions, not on the line. In basketball he averaged more points per game than the twins will combined.

And the same Willard team that beat Huron. Ring a round a round the rosey .
Gotta be more to the story of the game.
Heard a couple things. Willard shot poorly. Marg played really hard Willard missed 3 or 4 FT's in the finals 30-40 seconds,
I don't get the poor FT thing. Even against Huron it almost bit us .
Keep working, keep grinding, get better.

I'll be the first one, and maybe only one to say it. I'm not afraid of the backlash I'll get on here. Willard got homered in the worst way. Willard did not shoot well, Margaretta played hard. But the referees decided this game from the beginning plain and simple. All things being equal, which they weren't, Willard beats this team by 20, every time. Oh well, regroup boys, Poop happens. We got another tough one tomorrow.

I'm ok with losing. In fact, it can be beneficial in the long run. Just want to lose fairly...that's all. But hey, keep coming to the Willard threads and expressing your opinions. Tells me we're doing something right if you're interested.

Take it like a man, like those playing at Willard have to.

If it looks like Poop, smells like Poop....it usually is Poop. The refs were Poop tonite.
