Sadly I’m not old enough to remember the 1985 season. I have been at all of the games from 1989 onward. I want nothing more than to see the Tigers win a playoff game. But this one would be a tall order.

Possible key to the game:
Galion by 8, 22 - 14; if Alsip gains 150+ yards receiving. OG by 13, is he doesn't.

I want Galion to win but I am picking O-G. Same. I do like the idea of seeing the first Bellevue-Galion matchup since the NOL, though we will both have our hands full on Saturday.

Out of all the Galion fans on here only one person has picked them in the poll.... They are the higher seed and hosting the game and none of you guys are picking or defending them that they will win. If the Galion team shows up that I seen a few times this year on both sides of the ball... well it will be a good night for the Tigers. OG is good but I think that the Tiger's if they show up take this one by a touchdown late in the game. If they dont OG by 3 scores. Could go either way. 😎😎

Nonsensical post. Some people pay no attention to picking. Some pick the opposite just to fool those of your ilk. What if OG doesn't "show up"? Are you saying OG ALWAYS "shows up"??

This thread has had zero post from the normal Galooon folk who have boasted about their team. You'd think they'd be a little prouder of their Tiger's and chat up how they could best OG. But crickets. Nonsensical? Ha! What's nonsensical is that you can't see my simple drubbing at the Galion boys on here. And yes I feel OG is a better coached program and will more than likely show up as opposed to the orange and blue. Nothing but love for ya Willis!

We're 8-2 and MOAC runners up. That's plenty to be proud of right there, O-G is a tough draw. Those of us who were around 10 years ago for the Eastwood debacle know to keep our cards close the vest. If our playmakers can get into open field and make plays then it should be a competitive game. If not, it's going to be a long and cold night.

8-2 is a good record but you are CO-MOAC runner ups and if you factor in head to head you finished 3rd in a 7 team league. And I do remember the 2009 season. Many fans I talked to wondered if that team was smoke and mirrors and we found out in week 11. Interesting enough, after Eastwood embarrassed the hosting Tigers 35-6 in week 11 that season, Ottawa Glandorf gave out a beating of their own to Eastwood 48-3 in week 12.

Actually we finished tied for second in a 7 team league, which is what runner up means. While it would have been nice to tie for first, not a single Tiger fan is disappointed with an 8-2 record. In addition, that pitiful 7 team league managed to get 3 teams into the playoffs(almost 4 but CF just missed out).

This is one game that Galion will be playing to win, and not playing not to lose. There is a difference. There is a different "motivation", of sorts. Back in 2009 (Eastwood), the Tigers were playing for the first time in the playoffs in quite a while (as in "decades"). PLUS, it was a home game with all the associated hype that goes along with it (read...….. "alternate reality"). The seniors on this years team were, what, in 2nd grade back in 2009 ? As for the team being "smoke & Mirrors" back in 2009; heck no. The head coach being smoke and mirrors back in 2009, well, that's a different story entirely.
Galion is really just thankful to be in the playoffs for the first time in a while with a different head coach and they ARE motivated; unlike (I feel) back in 2009.

Both teams were 4-2 but as I said if you could read, when you ad in the head to head you would have finished 3rd. Nobody called the MOAC pitiful. However someone could say that about your non-league schedule playing 3 smaller D6 teams and a gimme Upper team. I'm more of an old school guy so seeing 7 divisions with 4 regions each and 8 teams making the playoffs in every one, I do not get overly impressed with 224 teams making the Ohio football playoffs. But congrats to you and the others.

You have an uncontrollable urge to come on here and downplay thew accomplishments of other area schools with your snide comments and backhanded compliments so that you can maintain your sense of superiority about Lex and the your almighty OCC. Honestly, you should probably seek some therapy for this it's not healthy. Everybody's hip to your game so carry on troll.

I only like to see things at an average level unless they deserve to be elevated. I agree Galion was Co-Champs in football of the MOAC but they were beat by the other CO-Champ by 2 scores so that would put them behind them. which could be called 3rd. Congrats.

Possible key to the game: Galion by 8, 22 - 14; if Alsip gains 150+ yards receiving. OG by 13, is he doesn't. Well, Alsip didn't quite have 150+ yards receiving, and they lost by 11 points; so I'd say that I came pretty close !

That air of "superiority" wears thin after a while.

IF decrepit, feeble minded "old school" types that are not overly impressed by 224 teams making the playoffs had more OHSAA input, then Clyde doesn't win a very deserving State Title this year.
