Olivia Howard Player of the Year - District 6 According to the article in the Sandusky Register, both the Bellevue and Norwalk coaches spoke to the other coaches about “the incident” just before the vote. The coaches then voted for the Perkins girl and denied the Santoro girl her third straight District POY. Bellevue’s coach had no comment when asked about the result of the vote other than to say they’re focusing on the tournament.

Hard to be player of the year when you miss 10% of your games for disciplinary reasons. Having said that, its hard not to fall in love with Olivia Howards numbers either as she averages 19.6 ppg, 5.4 assists, 7.2 rebounds and 4 steals on an 18-4 team. I think either Santoro or Howard had the numbers to earn player of the year.

Howard missed a game or two as well for injury reasons. another the shelby girl could have argument as well... all three are solid players.
