I am doing my best to give everybody a hall pass for the first few weeks this year. I thought Shelby was going to do better and it seemed Ontario had the ability to win this game a few time if they played a 7 game series.

Final Shelby 28, Ontario 14.
Shelby passes their way down the field on their last drive in an attempt to score 35, but came up short with 45 seconds to play when a pass was dropped in the end zone.
After being down 21-0, Ontario outscored Shelby 14-7.
Ontario pretty much stopped Fisher who had over 1700 yards rushing last year. But didn't have an answer for Shelby QB Shephard, as their tackling in the secondary left much to be desired.

Shelby turned ball over 2 times inside ontario 5 yard line.. A fumble at the 2 and an interception in the end zone both in 1st half. Ontario pretty much stopped Fisher all game Ontario. Shelby may be over rated and ontario under rated. We'll see how the season progresses. Officials were suspect both ways.. Dont think anyone was pleased with how they called the first game of the season.

I didn't disagree with Shelby trying to punch it in for 35-14. When you factor in the turnovers within the 5 yard line, yeah, I think Shelby's coaching wanted to figure out what their team was made of.
With only one scrimmage and probably a less than desirable climate for practices over the past month, you gotta get your reps in when you can. Especially when playoffs come in week 7, and not week 11.
