By rule an extra point is a dead ball as soon as it is blocked in hs it must have taken the refs a while to look that one up in their books. Also, they must have missed the part where it’s illegal for players in the backfield to make sudden movements designed to draw players offside. "sudden movement" by a player in the backfield is allowed as long as it's away from the line of scrimmage and doesn't stop before the snap. When I played we did it on almost every play. The HC always reminded the officials before games. I am 100% sure Galion's coaches told their players Lucas did it. AND Lucas HC reminded the officials. |

Shelby exposed Lucas’ venerablity to the pass. Galion with 171 yds passing and 68 yds rushing. Teams that run the ball 99% of the time are good at stopping the run and bad at stopping the pass. If Ontario played Lucas now they would win handily. |

A few thoughts. Lucas is a great team. I love the style of offense they run. They are solid on the lines. Galion was a different team tonight. Having the 3 players back made all the difference in the world. It showed up at the beginning of the game when they hit on the long passing play for a td. 17 just outran everyone.
A game like this shows why there are 7 divisions. I expect Lucas to do well in the playoffs. They sure have been battle tested.

Yeah the three players made the difference tonight. So these players will help Galion make a deep run in the playoffs because no one can stop our offense. I would like another shot with Shelby because I think we can beat them

419bossman,galion will beat rocky river lutheran west next week at home but in 2 weeks galion will go bellevue and their season will end bellevue is 6-0 and tough at home and bellevue came from behind to beat clyde 16-7 and clyde is not a bad team they play everyone tough.

When Lucas got behind, they abandoned the run formation for the most part and began running shotgun formations. They did run some out of this formation but for the most part it was a lot of passes. They looked quite awkward both running this formation a d throwing many passes. They did hit on some of them, but for the most part it was not overly successful. |

That could well be. They did not look comfortable doing it which could be a problem if they have to play from behind in a playoff game.

ANYTHING you only practice 10% of the time and "work on" a total of a couple of quarters in a year, will not BE comfortable.

Lucas is missing another decent CB, and has a very young and inexperienced QB. They should do well in D7 again. I know one thing for sure, the MOAC schedule is going to have them prepared. Good luck to everyone moving forward. I think Galion could shock Bellevue in round 2. Obviously, I like the Whippets to win R14. We shall see. GO LUCAS. GO GALION. GO SHELBY. |
