Highland wouldn't keep their commitment to play Ontario last week due to Richland County being "red". Isn't neighboring Crawford County "red"?

Galion is at Highland this Friday, 10-30. Talking with a Galion fan last week about the Lexington game, I was told Galion was looking for a week 10. I was a little surprised knowing that Lexington has had their week 10 set since early September.

I was wondering why they didn’t play Pleasant. They did not play them this year. An interesting quirk of them playing at Highland is they got 5 home and 5 away games this way. They played 6 away games last year and 5 home because of hosting Ottawa-Glandorf in the playoffs. They were to return to 5 home and 5 away next year, picking up Lima Central Catholic in place of KIPP. That was before Bucyrus dropped them. Week 1 is currently open in 2021. LCC will be for 1 year since Highland will play a MOAC schedule beginning in 2022.

Has there been anything more stated about whether there will be an official MOAC champion crowned this year? Seems unlikely that the Shelby-Clear Fork game will get played, and it looks like there's no interest in scheduling either of the other two missing league games (Galion/Pleasant, Ontario/Harding.)
And how about the KMAC? Will Centerburg officially be the outright champion?

I'd imagine Centerburg would be the outright champion. If they somehow would have lost to MG they still would have had the head to head over EK.

I wonder if Galion has locked up a week 1 opponent, according to the OHSAA open dates link nine schools are looking for a week 1 game. Pickerington Central(DI), Lakota East(DI), no way Galion will play the two DI schools. Struthers(DIV), Beaver Eastern(DVII), Waverly(DIV), Manchester(DV), Black River(DVI), Greenon(DV), and Fort Frye(DVI). Can remove at least three to four schools from that list. It will be interesting if Galion tries to get Struthers, Waverly, Manchester or Greenon if this list is up to date. most of these schools are willing to host or travel. If not any of these schools maybe Galion will play the Columbus Crusaders again. but this could all be for not if Galion has already signed up a school for week one and the schedule isn't up to date. it will be interesting if Upper and Carey would want to keep playing Galion over the next few years. Lima Central Catholic will be a tough match up because they are usually a good football team year in and year out they beat Shelby last year 55-41.

I would think they would shoot for Black River. They are closest and they are 2 divisions smaller which is something Galion likes to schedule. Arbiter live shows Upper on the schedule through 2022 which would put them at home in 2023 so I’d think they will stay for the foreseeable future. I would like to see them drop Carey in favor of a decent d3 or d4 school.

Clear Fork 14 Genoa 7 at half
Riverview had to cancel due to covid, so instead of a home game CF made the trip to Ottawa County tonight. The last time these 2 schools played was in a Region 14 semifinal in 2010 at Tiffin, which Genoa won 38-29. I was actually at that game.
