Rumors are flying that after a decade of existence, the Three Rivers Athletic Conference may collapse. On another sports forum the talk is that the Northern Lakes League may expand to a two-tier format which would include TRAC members Toledo Whitmer, Findlay, Oregon Clay, and Fremont Ross, along with Defiance of the Western Buckeye League. Lima Senior is not mentioned in this discussion.
Guess time will tell whether this is just another rumor, or if this one has something behind it.

If those rumors turn out to be true, do you think Ross would be willing to be in the bigger school division?

Radio announcers don't make the decisions as to what league a team belongs to. That's the job of an AD and school administration. The SBC has made it clear that they do not want Ross, so why continue to try. There are some of us who never wanted the Little Giants in the SBC anyway. I'd much rather see us in a conference with schools that are much closer in size to us.

I’ve always thought BG and company would be the best fit for Fremont, all things considering. Hope it works out. Sorry Toledo Catholics.

I'm thinking outside the box; if Ross is to improve, I believe Lake is the answer.

Maybe if Oak Harbor and the River breaks off. Could see two divisions in Lake/Bay with Fremont.

I'm thinking outside the box; if Ross is to improve, I believe Lake is the answer. i don't know if all the schools in the Lake would be on board for that. What are the chances the SBC implodes and new leagues are formed? It seems like its always been a house of cards because of how big it is.

Aren't the remaining schools have newer buildings? Also, I can't imagine closing only Eastside HS in Waite. EIB will have a fit, Ha!

There won't be any TPS schools closing anytime soon as geography and city/community politics would rule it out

FROM @jordanstrack Twitter
I’ve talked to multiple school officials from across Northwest Ohio & I can tell you...we are on the verge of the biggest league realignment for high school sports that I can ever remember.
I’m not sure of one league that will remain intact. Major, major changes are coming soon.
Timeline for official announcement is later this week or the beginning of next week.

Nothing new here. Leagues in the Northwest District have been doing this for the past 20 years

The ohsaa just announced an earlier start for first game around 20th of.august and playoffs going down to 12 teams, not 8 Last season everyone made it.
Fremont ross could have Jesus on both sides ball and still go 5-5..I don't like chad and coach of the year is premature 4-6

Again, I don't see Long being the problem. You could bring back Mackey, Moore, Siesel, and Radeloff to see it wouldn't be different. Those guys would be too old-school for today's Fremont kids

2 TRAC Titles in all sports in 11 years. I guess coaching sucks all away around. And to think, when one listens to him, he gets it.

Not so fast my friend, from what I gathered...the wheels are in motion but I am not sure they're going anywhere. Still a lot of questions with the smaller division schools. Jordan Strack lit the conversation on fire but he may have some egg on his face when it's all said and done.

I'm to the point I'm open to putting Fremont where they were going prior to the TRAC; the TCL. Granted, for Swimming, it would be an Independent Schedule.
