Agreed. The boy’s father hired an attorney. There was no choice but to fire them. Otherwise they would’ve been sued.

I listened to the attorney of Coach Wattley on the radio Friday. Now obviously he's going to swing things in their direction but listening to his side of the story was very interesting. He claims the "pizza party" wasn't for just the boy who missed voluntary practice but for all and they offered the kid chicken tenders instead of pizza. The kid said "nah I'll just take the pep off,I love pizza". The kid is like 6'8" 300 lbs with multiple D1 offers. Once again this is the attorney for Wattley's version. It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out.
