They are known as Galion City Schools and Bucyrus City Schools. At least the busses say that. And until just recently Ontario buses said "Springfield Local Schools", what ever that means. . Springfield Township local schools. Encompassing more than a village or city, before they were ever incorporated.

Thus if a bus says XYC City schools all they are saying is the municipality they are in is incorporated?

Thus if a bus says XYC City schools all they are saying is the municipality they are in is incorporated? A lot of them are just that, city limits only. Of course anything goes pretty much these days. Back in the old days the rural schools were, most of the time were twp schools. Probably an easy way to set boundaries.

Sorry guys, I have been on my binge of kook-aid and finally got released from rehab. Like I said, Bucyrus will win more than one game this year. Has the QB struggled? Yes, but he still is 4th in the conference in total passing yards while going through a gauntlet of opponents the previous 5 weeks. Bucyrus opponents have a combined 24-6 record from weeks 2-6. Yes, they laid a big fat egg against Wynford, but Bucyrus is better than what their record says. Also, last night’s game should have been far worse than 35-0. Four touchdowns were called back because of penalties. If Bucyrus can absolutely manhandle Buckeye Central, a team who nearly beat Upper Sandusky a week ago, then they most definitely aren’t the worst team in the league. While they certainly aren’t a powerhouse, they aren’t the worst and it just goes to show that the knowledge on this forum isn’t that great. People just read the press clippings and don’t actually know what the reality is with most of these teams. Enjoy the crow!

People just read the press clippings and don’t actually know what the reality is with most of these teams. Enjoy the crow! I watched the game online. Here are my observations 1) Bucyrus decided to run the ball ALOT more, and they had some success with it. The line did a good job of blocking, but the Dager kid is a really good back. He runs hard. He is a much better back than his stats show. 2) Bucyrus had first and goal near the end of the 1 st half. They had a lot of success running the ball. They should have kept running the ball there, but instead the QB made a bad decision, which ended up in an interception. I put that one the coaching staff. Why abandon the run when it is working well? 3) As a former official, I have the right to criticize the officiating. I think they had about 8 holding calls on Bucyrus. In my 20 years as an officiating, I don't think we ever had 8 holding calls on one team. It looked to me that they were calling it way too tight. The Dager kid had well over 200 yards with the called back plays. He would have had well over 300 yards without them. 4) Hopefully, Bucyrus can capitalize on this. The three games left will be difficult. Realistically, they could win 2 of the 3. However, they need to clean up the penalties, and play were well. If they do that, they may have some success. 5) Bucyrus's biggest problem is confidence. In order to win, you need to believe that you can win. Not sure they have this in most games. BC....they have a numbers problem. However, they have good kids who play hard. I thought they would have played the game closer, but they got behind early and never got going.

I would say the majority on here are just as knowledgeable or more so than you. The difference? They aren't blinded by their loyalties. Total passing yardage is not necessarily telling when a team has a losing record. They're passing more than usual trying to catch up. Unless you're a team that always employees 5 wideouts and passes on every down, like Shelby. When ahead a team likes to run a lot more than pass.....AS you saw against BC. Not rocket science.

"Most of the local media pundits are saying that the N10 is Carey's to lose. I agree. Lot's of three year starters back from a very good 8-2 team last year. For the rest, my thoughts are as follows:
As is usual in the N10 there will be a pack of several pretty evenly matched teams battling for second place, WYN, CC, SE, and MO. Trying to stay out of the basement will be UPP, BUC, and BC. Although an improved Upper, could be a surprise. They may be able to break into that middle pack."Upper replaced Mohawk in that middle group as I said could happen, and Bucyrus is still in the bottom group. We'll talk about your dinner menu regarding the Bucyrus QB and where Bucyrus is in three weeks.

Standings after 7 weeks:
4-0, 6-1 Carey 3-1, 6-1 Col. Crawford 3-1, 5-2 Seneca East 2-2, 3-4 Upper 2-2, 3-4 Wynford 1-3, 2-5 Mohawk 1-3, 2-5 Bucyrus 0-4, 2-5 Buckeye Cen.
Remaining games for leaders:
Carey: @ SE, WYN, @ BC CC: @ BC, BUC, SE SE: CA, @ UPP, @ CC
I don't think there's much question, Carey will easily run the table in the N10, with a home playoff game as their reward. CC should go into week ten 5-1, 8-1 for a big showdown with SE. Second place and a home playoff game will probably be at stake for CC. I think SE will face CC in week ten at 4-2, 6-3 with a chance to tie CC for second and secure a playoff game.
Upper, Wynford and Mohawk will be fighting uphill battles to win enough games to sneak into playoffs. at #16 or above.
Bucyrus and BC will not make the playoffs.

The Blue Devils have clinched a share of their first N10 title.
There have now been 5 N10 schools that have won a title in a 4 season period. Nice to see that kind of parody in a conference, especially one that had been dominated by 1 school for the first several years.
