I know the qb who started the last 2 games will be out with a "head injury" or possible concussion.

Do you mean #19?
Side note, #2 had pretty active legs on the sideline during the game vs JA. Hopefully that's a good sign? GT?

I'm gonna keep silent. The coach gets mad at me for talking too much on here. I'm the reason we are 1-4. lol (joking)
All I'm saying it's gonna be an interesting game. We will put up a good fight this weekend. I got confidence. We should be very fired up.

#2 is my son, Chase Cooke. It should be an interesting game Friday. I predict we will have a few more chances to score this weekend. I hope we have some playmakers on the field for Friday. And I won't be there...soooo mad..Parent's Night AND ...Veteran's Night. Double whammy for me!

That's not good enough. He's got to do better.

That's not good enough. He's got to do better. Sayre out played cook on Friday by a landslide. Sayre 19-23 passing. Cook 8-24 very disappointed by a 6-5 guy. I'll take the 5-9 sayre all day long. He's running ability was a huge factor in the first half. Cook has a major arm I must say!

To be fair if our receivers caught all of the balls that hit them in the hands he'd have had 5-6 more completions.

The kid is a straight competitor. Best completion in the league last year and way ahead this year. Also a great all around athlete on the court and baseball field

Well I agree with you on my son's completion rate is dismal this year, but come on lets look at our young team, our record, and my son has been hurt. It was his first game back in 4 games. Of course he got outplayed. I'll give you that.
But for Willard to hint that I made the wrong decision in coming to Galion...is crazy. Chase had a 58% completion rate last year. I checked the stats last year. Sayre was 122 for 186 with 1474 yards with 12 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He had a 65 completion rate...Amazing!! But he almost threw as many interceptions as touchdowns. Chase was 69 for 120 with 1121 yards. Had 11 touchdowns and "0" interceptions. So I don't know if you can compare this year with last year...or maybe not even vice versa. I will say this Gunner Gregory (the top quarterback in both leagues last year) was 184 for 256 with 2156 yards. 24 touchdowns on 9 interceptions. Looking back my son only attempted 120 passes...multiply that just by double...240 attempted passes (16 less than Gunner) Chase could have had 2242 yards last year.
Harding's team is much better than ours this year. We barely beat them last year. So if you want to say Sayre is MUCH better than my son I'll respect your opinion, but doesn't mean I'll agree with it. LOL I'll take my son (when he's healthy) every time in this league. This would have been a BIG year for him, the injury ruined everything, but life goes on. We are just happy he can still play. You will see a better Chase "COOKE" this next game.

GT, hope your boy gets healthy and can finish up strong. Hate to see kids get hurt especially during their senior year.

That's the only he can do, I tried to talk to him tonight. He's very worried about this injury. Probably the only thing that gets him through this..is like you said..just finish strong. Every hit he takes and understands he's not going to hurt it again, "maybe" that will help him play better on the field. (I thought he threw the ball pretty well the other night..made a couple of bad decisions in throwing the ball, but that happens when you start losing by a couple of scores) I didn't see all this pressure everyone was saying Harding was applying to him in the 2nd half, they did sack him a couple times, but both times he had ample time to get rid of it. He just didn't for some reason. He's got to get better on that. We should see a better Chase against RV.

I missed the BV-Galion game (and had planned on being gone that weekend for some time) but was really disappointed he wasn't able to play. Hopefully he heals up and is able to go for basketball season. Tell him to keep his head up and keep working.
