Only two weeks into the high school football season and I'd say the biggest surprise is Sandusky! 2-0 with a convincing win last night over Lorain. Blue Streaks are playing some really good football right now.
biggest disappointment: Norwalk - i for sure thought Todd Fox would turn this sinking titanic around, but now I have to wonder who will they beat?

I'm kinda shocked that the Pirates can shut a team out 61-NOTHING the first week, the turn around and give up 68 points the next week! Santoro give the Pirate defense the night off?

PC starting 2-0 and putting up 40+ in both games is a bit surprising.

Sandusky and Port Clinton for sure. Sandusky continuing to play last season when they could have said enough after a dismal SBC season has helped them a lot IMO. Great job by the staff there.

A good JV team would beat most of the city league teams. It’s a hard situation up there that’s made worse by the Catholics taking their best players.

Sandusky and Port Clinton are clearly the biggest surprises. Sandusky is playing with the same energy that they ended the season on last year, and looking at the rest of PC schedule they could win 9 games.
I have to agree right now that Norwalk is really disappointing, especially given the culture of winning that they’ve built over the last few years.

i hate to disagree with skip bayless and bigwill, but i would not call sandusky(2-0)suprising because look who they played springfield(0-1 and game 2 with columbian was cancelled to covid and blown out by sandusky)and lorain 0-2 are not good teams.and if covid would of not happenned, springfield would have been blown out at columbian.

I think the point is last season Sandusky was just as bad as those teams. Sandusky wasn’t blowing anyone out last year.

Nobody on the lake is surprise PC is 2-0... Getting picked 4th just goes to show nobody in the media does any homework on what each teams have coming back. They have an O Line that averages 270 across the front and plenty of starts under its belt and they were a very young team this year. They are the real deal. Sandusky vs Ross this next week will be the real tell to see what Sandusky really has
