Shelby should win easily against Pleasant. The Galion/Harding and CF/RV games will give us a good indication of where the 4 stand.

Galion and Harding tied at 7 at halftime. Galion’s offense struggled mightily during the first half. They scored their touchdown on a long pass play right before halftime. The defense has held tight for the most part.

The "tough" teams Lakewood played don't appear to be so.

I lived in Lakewood for 4 years. My neighbors were folks sending their kids to lakewood public schools, all at the elementary level. Per their grapevine, it wasn't a great district to send your kids to when St Ed's could skim the top layer. I heard similar sentiment when I spoke to other locals. As far as anecdotes go, lakewood public schools have a ceiling. They built an addition to the HS that looked nice when I was up there.
In 2018, the town had a report that the general fund had increased by $5 million each year since 2008, and they had comfortably performed $15m of road work, 3x higher than they had ever done in a year before. It was a great place to live at. Things seem to be heading up. Not sure about the sports though.

The Lakewood you are thinking of lost to Lucas 35-27 tonight Ontario played Hebron Lakewood, down in Licking County

I assumed he meant the 4-0 Lakewood on the lake and not the 0-4 Hebron Lakewood... On the smaller lake.

No I meant the ones that the MNJ writer was talking about that the Lakewood from Hebron played. He was picking the 0-4 Hebron Lakewoods since they played a tough schedule. The MNJ crack research team, In general I think Licking County teams take a licking that keeps on ticking.

Shelby took pleasant to the shed last night. Pleasant just looks out of sorts most of the time. They are senior dominated team so they should be better. Going to be a few rough years for sparty.. Their first five games have produced a 1-4 start and been running clocked multiple times. Shelby is 4-1 and also has had multiple running clocks just in the other direction. RV is not good in my opinion. Ontario is trending the right direction for the time being. Clear Fork is solid and will be a tough out for anyone in the league but Shelby. Harding is better than their game with Pleasant. They were on the verge of going up four scores on Pleasant and their coach made some bone headed play calls in my opinion. Galion will continue to be in every game. The first five weeks have been fun and can’t wait to see the last five weeks and see how it all finishes.

I went to this game last night, Shelby's passing game is pretty efficient and explosive. I will say, they should be able to outscore anyone they have left in the MOAC and will be an extremely tough out in region 14. However, their one weakness has not IMO seemed to improve and that is their line play. They have to find a way to improve there on both sides of the ball. The MOAC is also down across the board this year IMO. Shelby should be able to win this thing walking away, but I would never count out Clear Fork to give them a tight ball game. I think they had a nice rebound win this week and will continue to feed on the constant discussion of Shelby by everyone in the county.

Agree Richrod. MOAC is average at best this year.
Playoff standings. Top 16 in each region make the playoffs this year. Shelby - 10th Clear Fork - 9th Galion - 11th Marion Harding - 7th River Valley - 9th Pleasant - 16th Ontario - 21st
