The Cleveland Indians are the 2016 A.L. Central Division Champions!
Given the injuries they have sustained so far, it's hard to picture them going very far in the postseason, so let's at least enjoy what this team has been able to accomplish so far. Very nice to have a division title in Cleveland for the first time in 9 years.
and here's a look at the history of the Division...
A.L. Central Division Champions:
1995 - Cleveland Indians 1996 - Cleveland Indians 1997 - Cleveland Indians 1998 - Cleveland Indians 1999 - Cleveland Indians 2000 - Chicago White Sox 2001 - Cleveland Indians 2002 - Minnesota Twins 2003 - Minnesota Twins 2004 - Minnesota Twins 2005 - Chicago White Sox 2006 - Minnesota Twins 2007 - Cleveland Indians 2008 - Chicago White Sox 2009 - Minnesota Twins 2010 - Minnesota Twins 2011 - Detroit Tigers 2012 - Detroit Tigers 2013 - Detroit Tigers 2014 - Detroit Tigers 2015 - Kansas City Royals 2016 - Cleveland Indians
Totals: 8 - Cleveland 6 - Minnesota 4 - Detroit 3 - Chicago 1 - Kansas City
Of course, it's interesting to point out that the 2 teams at the bottom of that list are the only ones who have won World Series titles since the Central Division was created.

They need to play to win out. Getting a #1 or #2 seed is so important, especially playing with a depleted squad.

I see the tribe "limping" into the playoffs with mediocre pitching and hitting. Just my opinion.

Final record: 94-67
Records vs. division opponents:
14-4 against Detroit 14-5 against Kansas City 11-8 against Chicago 10-9 against Minnesota
So the Tribe did much better against the 2nd and 3rd place teams than they did against 4th and 5th.

Tribe had a great year in a great year in Ohio and Cleveland. 11 wins away from another Cleveland Title. Too bad the Tigers laid an egg this year.
