Pleasant might be in for a long night. Clear Fork and Galion should be the best game Agree with Galion and Clear Fork being a great game. Also think Ontario and RV will be a very good game. Pleasant will lose and get its 4th running clock in 6 games. Shelby wins by running clock on Harding. |

Pleasant scored on Canfield JV to end the game and end the running clock. 35-7 final. Pleasant moves to 1-5 with 4 running clocks. Sloppy game by both teams. Canfield could have done what they wanted. 70 yard TD called back the first play of the game. Pleasant turned it over 4 times. New staff needs to get it figured out.

Clear Fork 36 Galion 21 final A few thoughts on this one. One word comes to mind after watching the Tigers play both last week as well as this week. Maddening. This is a young team that’s 1 dimensional. They have to run the ball to be successful. Unlike years past where they have had good quarterback play, this year they don’t. The only way they move the ball successfully is if 17 does it. He got beat up badly by Clear Fork tonight. They were able to run the ball against River Valley, so both Harding and Clear Fork have loaded the box and dared them to pass. Which they can’t do effectively. The quarterback and receivers are mainly sophomores so they look overmatched much of the time. They have size on the line, but the blocking has not been good. On defense, Clear Fork was able to run numerous jet sweeps and often got 6-8 yards or more a pop. The pass defense has been okay, but they struggle to stop the run. They will beat Ontario and probably Pleasant but I worry about them getting into the playoffs as a 15 or 16 seed and getting destroyed by a Van Wert or a Bellevue or Clyde. They will be much improved next year, but definitely taking their lumps now. |
