I don't know...I heard he's can't play for 4 games, what the team decided on. I was wrong with my story. It had nothing to do with the coach or any fans asking Chase to join the team. My son had texted the coach "before" he went to watch the Cardington game asking if he could join the basketball team...cause he missed the game of basketball and being on a team. Chase told the coach if he couldn't he totally understood, because the season had already started. But he thought it wouldn't hurt to ask the coach. He told the coach even if he could just practice with them and be on their scout team he would be fine with that (if he couldn't actually play in any games). I didn't know any of this when I had initially posted on here. I haven't seen my son much this week, because I've been working so much. I've been telling Chase to start becoming more of an adult. He will be 19 come March and graduating this next year. I've been having him go visit colleges for football alone, so he opens up more and decides on his own..without my BIG MOUTH controlling the whole conversation. LOL It seems to be working good, plus I think it's a good learning process for him.
So he will be back the 4th game or the 5th game after the Cardington game. He hasn't been told which game it is yet.

Just in time for Shelby or JA. Tough games to be initiated into.

North Union is currently 5-0 and beat JA in overtime the other night in what was the most boring offensive game I have seen in a long time. It was 12-12 at the half. Maybe NU is a little better than most of you are giving them credit for....I even think they are a little surprised at their record.

That's an impressive start. They are definitely better than I thought they were going to be. How was it only 12-12? Were they stalling or just couldn't make shots?

Ja beat Harding then Harding turns around beats pleasant. I think Harding played a fluke against ja, but that is sounding impressive from NU. Can't wait to watch em now makes it interesting

NU had a great win over Alder, but NU has played an overall weak schedule so far. I would like to see more of NU vs. quality opponents before I buy into their record to start the season.
*BV and Harding both getting beat up early with tough non-conference opponents. We will see if they get better from this and how they fair in league play.
*Pleasant seems to be struggling after beating Hayes in game one. Hopefully they can get it turned around.
**I have a feeling it might be a year where 2-3 losses could win the MOAC RED title. Thoughts?

BV loses to Watterson 56-32. Think they scored 5 pts in 2/3 qtrs combined. It's 1 pass and a 3 point shot 50% of the time. That's great if you can shoot. Bet they shoot less than 20% on 3's. To many ME'S and not enough we's. JA there scouting licking their chops for Thursday. Least talented Watterson team I've seen in years.

Who did Harding play tonight?

BV is no where near as talented as what they have been in the past few years. I hear they have really good up and coming players, but are very young and inexperienced as of right now with not a lot of talented upper classmen. I believe they graduated 5-6 really solid senior guards from a strong team of a year ago. Talent level is not there this year.

When does Alder play Pleasant? That should be a very interesting matchup.

Yes BVs freshman class very good. 7th grade class is real good. They have scored 90's a couple times this year and haven't been challenged.

I'm heading to the game tonight to watch my Galion Tigers take on River Valley. It's Parent's Night for us. Hopefully we will come out fired up. It should be an interesting game. I hope.

Galion beats River Valley 65-50 tonight. Great team effort. Our freshman guard, Alsip (?)is darn good. He put up 28 points tonight. We got a decent team. I was happy with our performance. My son played. Only scored 2 points...shot only like 2-3 times. He ran over a couple people though. I think he thinks he's still playing football.LOL But he adds depth and size to Galion...but they got some decent support players who are only going to get better as the season goes on.
It's ironic to me that Buckeye Valley can beat us by 22 points and River Valley can beat them by like 3 points. Then we turn around and do this to River Valley.

I can't believe that he only had to sit 2 games. No offense, but that's unacceptable. This program has no integrity and just continues to show that the people in charge (coaches,AD,administration) have no idea what they are doing. But I guess this is what happens when you hire a 6th grade coach and lose 5 straight games by 20 or more points. You lose your values and just do whatever you have to to compete.... Embarassing

*BV goes on the road and upsets Alder 42-41....I think BV is only going to continue to improve with all the young talent they have. They play a tough schedule and have great coaching.
*Galion beats RV. Great win for Galion.
*Pleasant vs. NU?
*Harding?

Went and saw North Union at Pleasant tonight. Pleasant won by about 20 or so.
North Union never threatened....
Craycraft kid was knocked out of the game right before half with a nasty cut, and did not return, but NU could not get closer than 12-14 points down.
Agree with most on here, MOAC will be "scrambled eggs" this year. Hard to say who will beat whom each night. Teams are very inconsistent this year...
