2023 Fremont Ross football schedule

Thanks to some awesome information provided by our friend Jafo,  here is the 2023 Fremont Ross football schedule.  The first year in the Northern Lakes League.

Wk 1...vs. Tiffin Columbian
Wk 2...vs. Sandusky
Wk 3...vs. Perrysburg
Wk 4...@ Toledo Whitmer
Wk 5...vs. Findlay
Wk 6...@ Napoleon
Wk 7...@ Oregon Clay
Wk 8...vs. Sylvania Southview
Wk 9...vs. Toledo Waite
Wk 10..vs. Bowling Green

I'm not hating this schedule. Bowling Green will be making their first appearance on a Little Giant schedule since 1953, a 44-7 Ross win. The two teams have met 25 times since the first game in 1908. Ross leads the series 14-8-3. Also OK with Napoleon being back on our slate, the Little Giants and Wildcats have had some fierce games. Findlay and Sandusky will ALWAYS be on our schedule. This years Ross-Findlay matchup at the Don will be the 100th meeting. Columbian belongs there yearly too.

So is the NLL doing a divisional setup? It sure doesn't look like it. Quite confusing.

Im not overly thrilled, but that late in the year, beggars can't be choosy. Evidently, must be connections to get TCL schools on NLL schedules during Weeks later in year

Ross playing Waite in the ninth week of the season would be the latest a Toledo City League team has appeared on the Little Giant slate since the end of the Buckeye League, and the beginnings of the Buckeye Conference. From 1947-1961 Ross faced the Scott Bulldogs every year except one, and it was always either week nine or ten.

just to confirm, is Waite home or away? I thought initially it was in East Toledo

not sure; apologize being way late.

But, trashed Mansfield Senior last scrimmage, trashed Lake preseason fav Columbian, and trashed Start,who usually wins City League (I know, not saying much)
