Clear Fork is to be believed to have found their guy. From what I have been told (unofficially), Tim Brafford will take over for Steve Bethel for the 2022-23 season. He is the Father of newly appointed Athletic Director, Jessica Brokaw. After a short google review, Tim graduated from Crestview in 1977 with a team record of 7-13. Has anyone heard of him or know anything about his coaching background?
Jessica Brokaw's father is not named Tim Brafford.

I am being told that he has zero high school or middle school coaching experience. But he did coach a young Jessica Brokaw while playing AAU.

Maybe no other takers? Just filling in for a year? Inside info. Double digit applicants, resulted in 5 schedule interviews. Of the 5 scheduled, 4 had pervious coaching experience, 1 had been a head coach, 3 at a lower level. The guy hired had none, but he is the athletic directors step dad.

Bad look for the Colts. Should be interesting how it plays out.

Imagine if the HS principal had a nephew who is a farmer but then decided he wanted to become an English teacher. It is a bad look for the coach with previous head coaching experience.

Bad look for the Colts. Should be interesting how it plays out. The new coach is already making claims in June that he has won more games than last season. In a team meeting he told players he has coached and won over 1,000 games in his career. I hope they are clearing a place on the wall for all the trophies and records he will be winning.

I have met this guy a few times and he is quite the talker. Coaching and winning 1,000 non-scholastic basketball games is possible but very unlikely unless he was adding in friendly house, YMCA and rec leagues. Most AAU teams in circuits play maybe 10 tournaments a season. Each tournament can provide 3-5 games. If he was undefeated it would still take 20 yeas of coaching AAU teams to win 1,000.
