Lexington at Ontario - I still like Lex although I think Ontario will improve from last year.
Upper Sandusky at River Valley - RV walking away
Mount Vernon at Marion Harding - This game is interesting to me with the dynamics going on at Harding. I would have said Harding but I think it seems a little chaotic. I just don't see them circling the wagons yet, i'll take MV
Madison at Shelby- Watched Both teams scrimmage... I think this could be an extremely close ball game. I am going to take Madison in what will be perceived as a stunner but Shelby is really still trying to retool their offense and it might take them a little longer to gel. Maybe if Kenny Chesney shows up they'll get a little more edge.
McComb at Galion- McComb, not sold on Galion yet based on comments here.
Fredericktown at Highland- Highland by 3 scores. Will be interesting to see how they fare in league play too
Clear Fork at Lucas - Game of the week IMO. I like CF in this. The two transfer players will defintely be a difference maker for a team that brings back a ton. Lucas will keep it close though.
Pleasant at North Union - Haven't head much about either so I'll take Pleasant to be a homer for the league.

Lexington at Ontario - Ill take Ontario in this one. With all 11 starters back on Offense and a big Oline. Ontario 28-21
Upper Sandusky at River Valley - River Valley in a close one 35-27
Mount Vernon at Marion Harding - Marion Harding in a blowout. With Harding having a good team and MV with a new coach I just can’t see MV hanging around. Harding 42-6
Madison at Shelby- I believe this is the year Madison finally gets a win against Shelby. They are definitely due a win in this long Rivalry. I don’t think its a secret that Shelby is having trouble on the O and D lines. Valentine has Madison players excited to play football again. Madison 28-14.
McComb at Galion- Coach Dick was my Oline coach at Madison and hes awesome but I just can’t see Galion beating this small school powerhouse. mcComb 35-7
Fredericktown at Highland- Highland 42-13
Clear Fork at Lucas - I don’t see the game being very close this year. With Clear Fork returning so much and getting some key transfers and Lucas building a New Line I just can’t see Lucas hanging around. Ill say Clear Fork 34-14
Pleasant at North Union - Sounds like Pleasant is down so Ill go North Union 38-6

Lexington at Ontario - I'll take Lex in a pretty competitive game. I'll say Lex 28-20. Upper Sandusky at River Valley - River Valley has been the better program the past few years. River Valley 33-13. Mount Vernon at Marion Harding. Could be a close game , but I'll take the Presidents 27-17. Madison at Shelby - This may be Madison's year to finally beat the Whippets but it will be close. The Rams 14-10. McComb at Galion - McComb is a good small school program. Galion may hag around for awhile. McComb 35-17. Fredericktown at Highland I'll say Fredericktown 28-14. Clear Fork at Lucas- I will be attending this game on Friday night. Should be a good one. Lucas may be capable of winning this game. But it sounds like the Colts are ready to make a run this year. I'm kind of rooting for Lucas but I am thinking Clear Fork 27-18. Pleasant at North Union - Pleasant seems to be down right now and I know nothing about North Union. So I guess North Union 24-12.

I got to see him at the Mansfield Nike camp and he was impressive.

Pleasant school district is a mess. The Athletic director just resigned effective immediately. He is also an alumni. They have lost a ton of alumni in teaching spots, coaching spots and administrative spots. They will have their 3rd AD in a span of one year.

I don't know all of the "why's" but I always respected their athletic programs and it definitely seems that there has been a shift over the past 3 or 4 years.

I don't think either team is going to have a great season this year, but it is always nice to beat Lex. The band was... not great. Hopefully they turn the program around because that's always been the best part of going to football games these last couple years.

A big turnaround for Ontario after losing 45-0 to Lex last season. More than I expected as Ont. is still very young, playing mostly Sophomores and Juniors. More depth than in the past with over 70 on the roster. Only 2 players going both ways. They have a lot of young athletic players in the 6-2 220-240 range. One lesson learned, a coach can go 1-9 at Bucyrus and win a huge rivalry game in his first contest at another school.
Obviously Lex thought they could win by running the ball up the middle with their 6-1 195 and 6-3 215 tailbacks. Especially since their 2nd play of the game went for 95 yards and a TD. The rest of the game Lex rushed for just 100 yards. They only used the best athlete on their team twice. 6-4 200 Freshman WR Braydon Fogle made great catches on the only 2 passes thrown his way. Two of the very few passes that Lex attempted.
THE biggest surprise of the game? I think the famous Lex band might have fewer members than the Crestline band.

Shelby drive stalled at the end of the first half on Madison’s six yard line. Other than that drive not much offense. Madison did not get a first down the entire half.

Dave Carroll must be completely inept… two best players barely touch the ball the entire game. What is he trying to prove by not giving ault the football.. ray charles could see his ability to impact the game. Kids played hard and coaching staff tried their best to lose the game tonight from what I saw on ohreport

CF rallies late to beat Lucas 21-20 in a great game. I expect outstanding seasons out of both teams. North Union destroys Pleasant 42-6. The Spartans are likely in the MOAC cellar this season. River Valley led 25-0 before beating Upper Sandusky 31-20. R Valley will score a lot of points but can they play good enough defense? Marion Harding scores late in regulation to tie the game 14-14. Mt Vernon then beats the Presidents 28-21 in double overtime Shelby will run the ball with the QB this year instead of throwing it. The Whippets beat Madison 10-7 on a last second FG in their last game at Skiles field. SHS played football at Skiles since 1928. Galion took it on the chin against a really good McComb program, losing at home 54-28. The Tigers are going to be okay this season. Highland holds on to beat Fredericktown 17-14. The Scots will be solid in their first year back in the MOAC. Ontario beat Lexington 21-17 Thursday night in the opener. The MOAC goes 5-3 in week one. Overall observation. MOAC will have a down year. Predictions for the MOAC season after week 1: 1. ClearFork 2. River Valley 3. Highland 4. Shelby 5. Galion 6. Ontario 7. Marion Harding 8. Pleasant

Refs were a straight joke. Holding all night and not one call. Holding big time on the long run at the end nothing. I hate saying refs cheated but man it was blatant all night long. The head ref barely even moved. Madison should beat River Valley next week.

That's what all losers say. Holding could be called on every play. Surely you aren't saying that Madison NEVER held the entire game!?!?!
The reason the "head ref" never moved is because he is always positioned 5 yards behind the QB. Where is he supposed to "move" to??
