Which made me wonder, why didnt we go for a field goal to go up by 12 when it was 28-19? I think because we fumbled the hand-off, didn't we? We fumbled two hand-offs that really cost us down in their territory.

Oh ye of little faith, I had a feeling. That's why I picked them on the other thread you should have had more faith in your kids.

Did your son give any details as to what actually happened to cause those ejections?
Also, thats the first time in my life i've seen a negative yardage kickoff. He had another one that was pretty bad as well.

#19 on galion. Not sure what the cause was so i cant call it stupid. Seems like there may have been some sort of physical altercation but not clear.

#19 is a senior right? I believe ejections result in a 2 game suspension which would mean he can't play in his last 2 games

He can't play for the next game. My son said he didn't know why he got kicked out. He (Chase)said he didn't see it, because he was laying on the ground. There was a lot pushing and shoving going on. I didn't see it either. I would say (just guessing) a punch was thrown probably.
I've never seen that before too..that onside kick. I'm going to mention that on the other post. That was too funny. He was just trying to do what he did early and just push it along. He hasn't perfected it yet....at all. LOL

A point of reference, Kenton uses an onside kick EVERY TIME they kick off.

Yeah! I tried to talk to him about his completion percentage needs to come up, and he just gaffed me off and said a "wins-a-win". LOL He's right. We are just happy to finally win a game. He's getting more confidence back on running now. The brace seems to really hinder him though (in my eyes), but as long as he stays healthy that's the most important thing. I'm so happy for the team, the boys seemed to really have fun that Fairbanks game. Hopefully we can be competitive against North Union next week. I don't see why we can't. Our defense is starting to get "a little" better. Our offensive line is starting to make holes for our running backs. That's the biggest improvement for us that I see.
WF....that's crazy. I heard there's a team down south somewhere that never punts. They are very successful.

Kenton rarely punted when Mauk was running the show.

The one that went to mizzou that I obviously stated above, the one that was on drugs while playing college football. But i see he was dismissed from the program.

It is one and the same kid.
4, I believe he went to Eastern Ky or something like that. He was not a starter but they gave him a chance.

Is It Crazy to have Homecoming 8 weeks into the Season. I man the Buckeyes have a huge game and the Tribe are also playing while these kids are eating dinner and not dancing at the dance. Baxk when I was in school this would have been Week 5. We didn't start school until after labor day..and there was no game the first week. All the playoff games have pushed the beginning of the season back 3 weeks.

He was just trying to do what he did early and just push it along. He hasn't perfected it yet....at all. LOL Not the reason at all for the suspension. Your right about one thing, The QB was laying on the ground after the TD when 3 Fairbanks players started giving him the business in the pile. That’s when more fights started. Yes punches were thrown. #19 #22 were both ejected. The problem is, NEITHER ONE OF THEM WERE ON THE FIELD WHEN THE FIGHT BEGAN AND WERE NOT PART OF ANY FIGHTING. In fact #22 was 20 yards from the fighting. They were ejected for leaving the bench when there is a flag thrown for fighting. They were running onto the field for the PAT. #22 didn't even see the flag. Another twist to this is they didn't eject our kicker #42 or the holder #11 for running onto the field with them. The refs did not flag a single person for throwing any punches. After the ejections, Galion kicked the PAT and a Fairbanks player (One of them that started all the fighting) was ejected for running his mouth off and used the "F" bomb to the ref. And the reason Fairbanks couldn't kick the ball 5 yards is because the kid that was ejected was their kicker. It’s very unfortunate for #19 and #22. They are both very good senior leaders that did nothing wrong. I'm told that ejections are not negotiable. They are suspended the game they left in and this Friday only. They will be back week 10. I know our AD and Superintended are working with the OHSAA to get this repealed. Don’t count on it..

Wow! I didn't know all that. Good information. I wonder why that onside kick looked so bad. It still was hilarious the way is spun back around their own players.
