Alder appears to be headed for there 2nd straight MOAC title after beating the top of the conference leaders.
North Union is next up! Senior night this week.
Last year North Union jumped out to a 14-0 lead, Alder came roaring back and won 35-14.
Watching the film, North Union runs the same offense as last year, but has also tried to spread teams out.

You guys will kill them. Pleasant beat them 14-0, and Harding beat them 35-0. They rarely pass the ball. And defense is weak besides d line.

Hoping for a good senior night, weather looks good as well for a dry track, they don't appear to be as big and fast as they were last year.
Alder really never established a Rivalry in the MOAC for football, always thought this would be the natural choice, they don't seem to like us very much. I believe we hold the edge at 2-1, winning the last two meetings.
Hope they have throw some, our pass defense needs to get better on the edges, we have been pretty solid against the run, only a few big runs over 20+ yards given up this year.

I'm guessing Douglas run was biggest given up this year for you guys. And they pass maybe 3-8 times a game isn't much at all. I think they don't have receivers is the reason.

Your opinion maybe different if he got more carries for Harding. He took a pass like 40 yards too but just didn't get carried. Passed the ball like 25 attempts.

I will go with a score JA (35) - NU(0). From what I see, NU does not throw the ball much. If NU does not or will not throw the ball, it will be a LONG NIGHT for NU.
PLUS - It's Senior Night at JA so I know the team will be pumped to ring in a victory for the AWESOME SENIOR Class!

Jacked for Senior night. Football weather, a Union County Foe, a different style of offense to defend.
The last couple of weeks have been good solid competition. North Union comes in with a respectable record, but not as much hype/talk about this one based on what they have done vs. the top half of the league. Hope we come ready to play out of the gates. Senior night should play into that hopefully.
Alder needs to build on last week, would like to see them get better on both sides (Pass Defense, Pass Offense & Special teams). The line play was exceptional last week, hoping that continues. Need to get more people involved and exposed to the bright lights come playoff time.

I always though that Jonathan Alder was a Madison County school. Shows what I know.

JA people -- any word on Pugh's shoulder? Sounds like he was feeling better Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised if he's back this week. Very tough kid. We will definitely need him against River Valley, they are playing really well.

Without Pugh JA is totally different team. I think they'd have a few losses. But I think with or without em they will beat rv.

I agree, they aren't as lethal on Offense without him, and he makes plays on defense all over the place. Pugh was hurt I believe when Alder was up 7-0. Alder made some adjustments and was able to score points and held NU to only 7 points when the 1st teamer's were in. This team has a lot of good athletes in the Junior and Senior class, believe there is only one sophomore getting significant time. Hope he is back this week or by playoff time, we will need him and Koenig to be ready to go if we want to make a run in our Region.

Every team plans for Pugh and forgets about the rest and it hurts it seems like.
