Obviously, I'm also disappointed with the Guardians season but I can't say I'm surprised. We won so many games last season by the skin of our teeth. Walf offs, late rally's, crazy base running that produced runs that just shouldn't have happened Etc. It was super fun to watch but really that kind of baseball isn't sustainable year after year. I hoped for a better season but I thought .500 was more realistic. Injuries this year cost us for sure with 2 very good pitches out most of the season. The Bieber injury might keep him here for another half year. Many nice young players. Someone on here said we need a couple power bats in the outfield. So you want to bench at least 1 gold glove?? Nah. Kwan and Straw should be darn near every day starters. Left field has Gonzalez who has potential but if we could upgrade there I'd be fine but I don't expect much. The only open in field position is probably 1st as I don't see them giving up on Arias at short yet. People get made at the Dolans for not spending money but I for one think they've done more with less than any team I can think of. Mostly because of Tito. Love to see him stay 1 more year.

I'm not surprised with the regression. MLB had teams play Everyone in Baseball which meant more of better teams than feasting on the Central and Ŕeds/Pirates

Despite their lack of timely and power hitting, the Guards have been competitive in most games. The problem, as PD columnist Terry Pluto contends, has been the bullpen. Forget the blown saves, but Id love to know how many leads in late innings the bullpen has yielded this year. And for the life of me, I dont understand why the manager refuses to use the two new relievers they picked up. Instead, he parades the same old tired has beens out and the game is lost.

I wonder if part of the bullpen’s problems have been due to overwork. It’s a byproduct of the starting pitching not being able to consistently go deep into games. Some of those guys are tired. Even Clase. 50+ save opportunities is a lot.

I bet $1 on the money line for 157/162 Guardians games. I was out of state for 5 so I couldn't bet those. Won $8.66 Haha . Now I'm putting $5 on all Browns games money line.

Ironically after 4 Browns games I'm up $8.66.

It finally became official that Terry Francona is no longer the manager. He is the longest tenured manager in the history of the club and has nearly 200 more wins than the second winningest manager.

Too bad he was so close getting us that World Series ring.

It has been announced that Steven Voght has been named the 45th manager in franchise history. Thoughts?

Time will tell. He doesn't have any manager experience but he was very well respected by a lot of his ex-teammates and Coaches. Hopefully, it will be able to transfer as a leader while managing.
