NL will remain a JV team this year with the hopes of returning to varsity next year. I hear numbers are better (mid 20’s) but I think there are only 2 juniors and 1 senior on the team. Some insight on New London's team this year. NL played @ Colonel Crawford JV's last night "under the lights". NL had 16 dressed and it looked like 2 players not dressed. They all played hard to the end and had a few good players that made a few good plays here and there, but as a team, they're no where near varsity level for a FC team. CC played their first team JV's the first half, then mostly their freshman the 2nd half. CC won the game 28-0, could have made it worse if they wanted to. |

I’ll give them credit for trying to get it going again but this will be a major hill to climb. I really think the OHSAA needs to support 8 man football. |
