Wife and I were discussing this last night as we have a daughter who is a Senior. What is a reasonable amount to give to her friends as graduation gifts as our invitation list is sitting at 30 kids or so right now...on top of having to pay for our own party/open house.

$20.23 (we started doing that years ago when our kids were seniors and we had LOTS of party invites)

I would say it also depends on how close you are with the family. If it makes it a little less painful consider you’re getting a meal and if it’s a good party a beer or two. What would you pay if you, your significant other, and daughter went to a sports bar and ate?

$20.23 (we started doing that years ago when our kids were seniors and we had LOTS of party invites) I like that nice round number. We had spit balled $20 but the extra .23 give a fun touch. Thank God she won't get invitations from all 600 of her classmates. LOL.

We gave more to family and their really close friends. But you obviously get alot of invites from casual friends when your kids are seniors.

Usually give $20 and a card unless it is family.
