River Valley comes off an impressive performance over Buckeye Valley 42-12. A goal line stand and forcing 3 turnovers in BV territory and moving the changes methodically on offense led a dominating RV win.
Alder defeats North Union 34-14. Pugh went out early in the game with the score 0-0, Alder made some in game adjustments and leaned on Fooce and others to lead 13-0 before half and pull away after NU cut the lead to 20-7.
Big question this week is whether Pugh will play, that will definitely have an impact if he doesn't. I don't think Koenig is close to returning either.
Either way it should be a great game, late in the year teams get nicked up, this is where you find out how good are the other players around you.
Alder is one win away from at least gaining a share of the MOAC, can they get it this week?

Harding homers are all rooting on RV I've seen especially if Pugh doesn't play. Not sure if he is. But I think rv has a chance if he doesn't. But if he does they'll lose by more than 20 I'd say. They couldn't score on pleasant hardly they'll have trouble with JA

Probably won't know much until later this week on Pugh, I would be surprised if he plays both sides of the ball like normal.
I thought RV looked pretty good on film vs. BV, there line has some good size and there skill players have good speed. The mid line offense can pose problems and eat up clock when it's humming. In looking at there two MOAC losses, I was surprised they only mustered 7 points vs. NU & Pleasant. I heard they had some guys out during those 2 losses, but still a head scratcher to only put up 7 in each game.
The alder boys are really determined to go undefeated in the regular season, something they have talked about leading up to the season and throughout the year. Only two other teams have done it that I am aware of in their history. This is THE game that they could stumble, I obviously don't see a loss vs. Fairbanks next week.

Tough loss.
River Valley made the big plays in the 2nd half. Alder's offense struggled without Pugh, barely threw the ball at all. They still had oppurtunites on the last 2 drives on RVs side of the field at the end.
These 2 could meet in the 1st round of the playoffs. Looking forward to a rematch.
