Finally week 10. The Pleasant Spartans travel to Heise Park to take on the Tigers. This is the third meeting of this series with the road team winning both games. Pleasant win in 2014 and Galion won last year. Thoughts on this one.....

Just look forward to next year galion. Pleasant qb can run like no other and that won't be stopped. I'd like to see galion put up some points. I'll say 42-10

I'll agree "4" with the score. Maybe we can put up more of a score, we have a tendency to play "a little" better at home. I predict Connor Moreton breaks the school record in his final game on field goal distance. It has to be more than a 47-yarder though. I hope he gets a chance. They should give him his one shot at home to hit it.
I'm so glad this season is finally over. I know that sounds bad, but it has been excruciating to watch this team and my son at times this year. So many missed tackles and so many missed opportunities. Such a GREAT group of boys though, Galion is such a great place to place football at. GO TIGERS!!!

Well if you can throw the ball and protect the QB you have a chance to move the ball, but if you cannot protect him it will be a very long night. Pleasant's run D has been pretty good in all but 1 game so far so I don't see GHS moving the ball that route.

We haven't been able to successfully run on anyone other than Bucyrus all year so that's not exactly our expectation.

Pleasant can get after the qb too pretty well. They chased sayre out of the pocket all night against Harding, he eluded them and made plays most the time. They don't defend the pass well. So there's a spot galion should attack.

Would you say that Galion's line is better than Harding's line?

Hmmm not sure. I've only seen galion once and it wasn't good. So probably not. But Hardings is just 1 senior, that's why they do a lot of shot gun to have some time. Lately it's been better b

So there's a spot galion should attack. What game were you watching, Harding's QB is not a pocket passer, he is short so I think he has problems seeing down field in the pocket. He bails out when he doesn't have to. Has he had pressure yes, what QB at this level doesn't. I have been to every game and his line has pass protected better than they have run blocked this year. That being said he does make plays.

It's actually not true. We ran the ball down Fairbanks throats all night long. We ate up so much clock in the 4th quarter; it was crazy. In fact we took a knee with on 3 plays to end the game, because they couldn't stop our run game on two consecutive series in the 4th quarter. I'm pretty sure we had over 200 yards rushing against them, probably better than we ran against Bucyrus honestly.

...well I take that back Fairbanks did stop us on 4th and one on the 1st series in the 4th quarter, but that was after like 5 first downs running. They stopped us on like their 20 or 25 yard line.

We might be able to score more points, but it depends on if we can protect our qb better, our receivers stop dropping touchdown passes and my son start making better decisions in the pocket (like stop leaving it. LOL)

Still eagles nest he's a really good qb, he's 5'9-5'10 is only down fall. But his stats are really good and his deep ball has been really nice this year. That kid can ball lol. But that's not the topic here, I hope I see galion put up some points

1st quarter 28-3 Pleasant.
I think im going to get a tape of the last 5 minutes of that quarter, speed it up by 50% and put the benny hill theme behind it and go viral.

Galion wins 2nd quarter 20-14. Halftime Pleasant 42-23.
Galion showed some fight there. Makes it fun to watch when they play competitively.
Our kicker 3-3 on fgs of 44, 35, and 37 i believe which would have been good from 55+.

Final Pleasant 63-39.
Galion intentionally set up Connor Moreton for a school record 52 yd fg attempt with 6 seconds left that was good!
Also we clearly found our number 1 reciever tonight, #12. Unfortunately with no games remaining this season.

I havent heard anything along those lines. To be honest he's probably our most scholarship worthy player.

Our #12 is a freshman too. Man! He had a "beastly" game. I've been literally calling for them to throw to that kid all season long. Nobody listened to me. I saw him at football camp this year in Otterbein (Lauren's 1st & Goal). He was locking down receivers one-on-one.
That was THE MOST EXCITING loss I've ever watched. Not only did Connor Moreton hit a 52 yard field goal with 7 seconds left. How did he even get to that point? He did the most amazing on-side kick ever that we recovered. Then my son took a goofy knee too far back out of his range. Then we ran a play that our running back ran too far down the field. So my son had to run backward to set him up for his attempt. Conner can kick the most beautiful on-side kick ever. The ball hops along the field then takes one huge leap way over the defender's head and comes down right to our outside guy running down the field. We have recovered two of those this year out of like maybe 4 attempted. That boy is good. He's got to find him a college team to kick for. After he made it everyone went crazy in the stands. I swear you would have thought we had won the game.
My son finally had a decent game. He threw for a lot of yards it seemed. We ran some a couple of razzle-dazzle plays that worked very well. Chase threw a crazy desperation pass up to our freshman who literally out jumped his defender than turned and leapt into the end zone for a touchdown. It turned out to be an amazing play. We kept fighting in the game. We came out of half a little stale though. I'm proud of our boys though. They kept fighting. The seniors had a touching walk the length of the field at the end of the game. A lot of the boys were crying. They are a pretty close bunch. It was a fun game to watch.

I havent heard anything along those lines. To be honest he's probably our most scholarship worthy player. I've spoke with him. He wants to go to a top business school. He likes Miami or Ashland...He doesn't have many choices he's willing to go to. He doesn't really have anyone talking to him yet. I'm very surprised at that. He's rock solid.

Fisher School of Business at The Ohio State University is one of the "top business schools" in the country at #27, the rest of the Top 50 are outside of Ohio.

Well he's not going to kick for Ohio State, unless he's being secretly recruited where he doesn't know about it yet. LOL
He likes: Miami, Otterbein, Ashland and Wittenberg.

FBS usually gives full scholarships to kickers, but the FCS gives partials or hopes for walk on kickers since they only have 63 scholarships to give. Otterbein and Wittenberg are DIII and can't give athletic scholarships
Something interesting I just found out. There a 18 states that do not have any DIII universities.
