HARTLEY ROLLS IN THIS ONE! JA Avoiding the RUNNING CLOCK should be the GOAL in this one for JA! That's what they were saying before the Clyde/TCC game a few years back. Actually, didn't one of those unstoppable Hartley teams trip up just a few years ago as well. Heck, in '85 Mooney came into the shoe WEARING the state champion hats that they had printed up BEFORE the game. Point is even the great Catholic programs trip up every now and then. Maybe they should start playing their games on Sundays like the rest of the professional athletes do. |

Looking forward to it tonight. Hartley looks really good on film. No doubt Alder's toughest test to date. Big fan of Jake Ruby, good QB and a special baseball player.
Pugh is out for tonight, but Koenig will play.
These boys from Alder won't lay down even though they are the heavy underdog's according to most. Last game on Volunteer field for the seniors, hope it's one to remember. Go Alder!

Alder had plenty of chances to make this a game in the 2nd half.
After the 1st quarter, Alder was just as good, if not better than Hartley the rest of the way. 2 drives inside the 10 yard line, Alder failed to score.
Hartley running back was the real deal. He killed us most of the night, he had to have at least 300+ yards on the ground.
Pugh would have made a huge difference on both sides of the ball. He plays, this game goes down to the wire IMHO.
Sad to see it come to end for my pioneers, proud of the way they fought back after the 1st quarter.

We gave you 2 gifts with those play calls inside your 10. Your very fortunate #7 wasn't able to play or you may be eating a huge pile of crow. Very sloppy execution, terrible fake punt, 3 turnovers and a poor passing game will get exposed at some point during your playoff run. Nowhere near the team you were last year. |

You really have do thank the HOMER REFS for THAT SCORE. BHHS ran up 21 points on JA within minutes! The OFFICIALS had to step in and stop the embarrassment which is a shame. Even the radio announcers were saying that the JA coach admitted that there was NOTHING that JA could do to stop the BH RUNNING ATTACK. One BH Player racked up close to 400 yds. Really SHAMEFUL for the MAOC Champion to be shown up this way at HOME by a mere #5 seed! Oh well, it is what it is. At the end of the day EQUIPMENT turn in is on Monday then you can have your FB banquet on FRIDAY (while BH is tearing apart Port Clinton the #1 seed) and have a HEALING group CRY.  Series now OWNED by the MIGHTY HAWKS! |
