TC had one last night I believe at Findlay, not sure who was all there besides TC and Findlay. They did scrimmage Huron and Galion last Saturday at Tiffin. Columbian looks to be pressing and really wanting to get out and run this year. They have a a good big man in Durham and have a couple good guards in Simonds and Akers, another good wing in Bupp. I look for TC to have a better year than last year and make big strides forward.

Ontario was 3-0 against Loudonville in no contest quarters, 2-1 against a very physical Northwestern and 1-2 against Dover in close quarters. Ontario was without their best player, PG 3 year starter Trey Jordon. I think they get off to a slow start with 2 Freshman playing significant minutes.
Next scrimmage is Tues 11/22 @ Dalton

Ontario outscored Dalton 48-40 and outscored Garaway 33-24.
Was told Garaway had a kid on the team that is committed to Michigan football for the 2017 class. Easy to figure out who he was. Looked to be 6-6 275. Well developed upper body with good feet. Looked to fit the mold of an OT. I hope he doesn't have his offer pulled at the last minute. Looked like a real good kid. Next Ontario scrimmage is at Ontario, Friday 11/25 10:00am with Huron, Harding and Upper.

Sanduksy scrimmaged Firelands and Vermilion last Saturday. They handled both pretty easily in the quarters I saw them play. Sandusky is going to be difficult to guard this year because Croom, Williams, and K. Williams can get the bucket against most people they will face. I could see teams trying to play zone but Williams and Williams can light it up from the outside as well. This weekend, Sandusky travels to Cleveland to scrimmage Canton McKinley, Cleveland Heights and some other Division 1 powerhouses. It will only make them better in the long run.

In the Ontario, Upper, Harding, Huron scrimmage. Ontario 9-1, Upper, 5-4, Harding 3-6, Huron 2-7.
We'll know more about Ontario after their first 4 games. 12/2 at Mansfield Senior. 12/3 St.Petes, Regional Finalist last year in DIV with everyone of note back, at Ontario. 12/9 At Sandusky, NOL favorite. 12/10 At Wooster OCC favorite.

I don't know "who's all playing", but today's MNJ says "top returners" are guards; Sr. Davey Hipp, Jr. Brady Hill and Sr, Brock Kehres. No mention of their Junior All-Ohio QB, who has started for the past 2 years. However ......and however, the accuracy of the MNJ is always in question.

Hearsay in Shelby was that the QB was not going to play.

I don't believe their QB and top WR are playing (QB started from the get go last year while WR started after a few weeks)...and at least 4 others that played JV last year are not returning. Not sure if they have enough kids for 1) a full freshman team or 2) freshman moving up to play JV or 3) some freshman play JV and all freshman play a limited freshman schedule like they did last year...

No, QB and WR came out at the same time, changed their minds about a week before the season started. I also believe their Tight End came out at the same time. Thinking he dressed varsity and played JV. Brady Hill was one of the favorite WR targets, the other favored WR was the basketball coach's stepson or nephew. He broke both of his wrists in the first basketball game last year.

Carter Brooks was the top target this year until he got hurt. Hill and Egner both behind him in catches and targets and Gieseler was 4th in the pecking order until called upon in post season with Brooks out...and all 3 stepped up nicely when asked to take on a bigger role or change positions with Brooks out. And to confirm, Armstrong and Brooks (TE/WR) did not play basketball this year.

That is correct and Brady Hill is playing. Last year all 3 changed their mind and decided to go out for basketball a week or so before the season started.

Brady Hill has always played basketball and was never late in being in the gym.

Filmore you get a bunch of crap wrong. Get better sources. Those 3 last year were Armstrong, Brooks, Bishop. All JRs this year. Only 2 players left in the JR class that was so good in Middle School.
