If it's asking for money than probably. Could you share the name of the website?

It's not a scam, but you can do (just like I did) things yourself. This company gets you in contact with a recruiter who is going to represent you for a fee. The fee isn't small either. The ones I heard were over $1,000 dollars. My advice is just get your kid to as many camps as you can, keep the grades up, contact the football coaches, position coaches and recruiting coaches early on with HUDL videos your son can make himself. If you son is good, a football coach will come calling. Go to the Junior game day visits too, they are free and most feed ya. Ha!

Most kids DO NOT have D1 talent and the one's that do WILL BE FOUND because they can't hide :-). galliontiger is spot on. Get to as many college camps as you can get to, (Stay away from combines where there are no college coaches there evaluating, waste of time and money) and prepare for them as if they were a job interview. If you catch the coaches eye, you have an opportunity. Can't stress enough the importance of grades. Don't be one of those kids who has the talent, but not the grades. You will be passed over for someone else who does have the talent AND GRADES. Be sure to let your HS Coach know you have an interest in playing at the next level. Make it "easy" for your HS Coach to get in contact with the schools you are interested in playing for by providing your HS Coach with your HUDL highlights along with all the contact info. for the schools of interest. Then continue to follow up with your HS coach about the status and feedback they are getting from those schools. DO NOT STOP ASKING. We are all busy, so you have to be respectfully persistent. If you find out you do not have DI talent, DON'T BE A "DI SNOB". Play where your talent take you and hopefully it's at a level where scholarship assistance is provided.

I agree with Chef...Not Division I...the money is still out there for you. Division II can still give out athletic scholarship. Hell! I even heard Division III colleges can give out academic (They can't give out athletic scholarships.) scholarships that are pretty powerful. I met a quarterback up at Baldwin Wallace who said his college is basically paid for through the scholarship, grants and other scholarships. He said they came back after initially offering one amount then adding to it. So play football where you can't, don't sweat the whole theme of "Division I or bust".
