Have you heard? In Minor League baseball this year. When a game goes to extra innings a runner will be placed on 2nd base at the beginning of every half inning, until a team wins.

I think they are just doing in the GCL. Either way it has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard of.

I am surprised that International Rules for extra innings would be used in pro baseball. They are used in fastpitch softball and are helpful in tournaments.

playing extra innings in the Minors is a terrible burden on teams, they should just end in a tie and be done with it tho, but i don't blame them for trying something

In a tie, each team should get 5 pitches from one of their own pitchers to 5 of their own batters.
5 pitches per team. Alternate teams. HR Derby Shootout
