What is the point in comparing what the average American makes against one specific CEO?

"If you are taught bitterness and anger, then you will believe you are a victim. You will feel aggrieved and the twin brother of aggrievement is entitlement. So now you think you are owed something, and you don't have to work for it, and now you're really on a bad road to nowhere because there are people who will play to that sense of victimhood, aggrievement, and entitlement, and you still won't have a job."

Imagine if your local school district put an announcement in the paper saying: "We have good news for the local taxpayers. We are currently hiring all new teachers at the rate of $9.00 per hour. They are all certified teachers in their home countries. Because of our budget problems, the state of Ohio has issued a waiver that allows us to employ these teachers while they work to obtain state certification and legal status. The INS has agreed to not deport these teachers as long as they don't commit any serious crimes. This is a needed solution to our budget woes as we have found that Americans aren't willing to do the hard work of teaching unless we pay them upwards of $20.00 per hour. Some teachers are currently making over $30.00 per hour with generous benefits. We don't want the cost of education to squeeze middle class families any more than we want them squeezed by the cost of radishes and cucumbers. This "good government" solution is spreading. It is projected that by 2019 more than 80% of public school teachers in Ohio will be foreign nationals. We also expect local governments to go this route with police, firefighters and garbage collectors. We would like to thank the local farmers and Cedar Point for suggesting this cost effective measure that will save the taxpayers millions of dollars. We urge parents and students to welcome these new, hardworking public servants. In other business the board passed a resolution approving the use of the gym and field house as temporary housing for any public employee making less than $9.50 per hour. Those locations will be cleared for student activity between the hours of 7am - 9pm weekdays and 10am - midnight on Friday & Saturday. Time to repost. If you are pro-amnesty and against deporting illegals, can you give me a reason why the above cannot and should not happen? Why should we pay Americans $50,000 a year with good benefits to work 9 months if we can get people from other countries to do the job for $20,000, no benefits and they will also fix the school roof and mow the grass in the summer? Why are we protecting teachers from illegal foreign competition but not protecting farm workers, lawn-care workers, factory workers and restaurant workers? Why are people okay with screwing over low-skilled workers so businesses can reap larger profits?

And to go along with this have charters instead of public schools and if the charters want to hire poorly performing teachers, see which charters stay in business.

We already have that, it's called public school (government) education, where poorly performing teachers are protected by labor unions and tenureship.

That's why I'm Pro charter and against unions.

Why are people okay with screwing over low-skilled workers so businesses can reap larger profits? You get it Whit, but a few on here don't. They look down on those with a 90 IQ and think they deserve to work 60 hours a week and make 25K, and if they want more then we should let illegals pour into this country to take their jobs. Meanwhile they ignore the CEO that has done nothing for anybody making 41 million a year. Not a single poster on NCoast will make 41 million in their lifetime (you'd need a salary of 1 million a year for 41 years). Bill Gates thank you for your great inventions - you've earned your money Steve Jobs thank you for your great inventions - you've earned your money Aenta CEO - you've done nothing for society. You've probably made your way to the top by backstabbing co-workers, firing workers and making their co-workers do their own job, plus the ones you've fired for no more money. The money saved from those firings went into your own pocket. Real winner. Meanwhile people like the Aenta CEO love illegals pouring over the border to steal 90 IQ American's jobs. Pay an American 40K or an Illegal 25K - Hmm, 25K means the Aenta CEO can now make 43 million a year. Pay raise.

I have to ask an honest question.....If the deported individuals name was Bob Smith from Toronto Canada and he was here illegal packing cookies at Pepperidge Farms would all of those folks on here still be as adamant as sending him back to his home country?

If you came into the US illegally or overstayed your visa, you have to leave. That's my view. What's the point of having legal immigration policies, screening of refugees and such if all you have to do is sneak in and you will be amnestied and eventually granted citizenship. Not sure why this is controversial. Are there any modern countries that do it much different?

At least that's what they say in public. Funny how we didn't need to be protected by all of these levels of "security" when it was the Irish or Italians or Germans coming over. Lord knows none of them committed any crimes once they got here.

The fringe left, that seems to dominate the Democrat Party these days, continually attempt to play the race card in trying to justify illegal aliens, who criminally disregard our nations laws and sovereignty. The smoke screen of excuses and defense of their infringements on our country doesn't get around the cold hard truth, there is no justification for their presence in this country....plain and simple. But, as the above post implies....the plight of the illegals and all the blame is layed on the feet of us legal, tax Paying, American citizens. The old 'guilt trip' tactic, once again used to muddle, distort and confuse the issue. We somehow shoulder the burden of guilt for not treating them the same as those who came in the front door via Ellis Island, made out the necessary papers, went through the necessary procedures, in accordance to our laws and regulations and did it the right way, assimilating into our society, embracing our culture and learning our language. The truth is ignored in the fact that illegal aliens DON'T BELONG HERE!It's simply criminal trespassing.

Farmers welcome the legal immigrants back every year, many who are third and fourth generation migrants. I have zero problem with legal immigrants or migrants....zero. "how would you even know which is which?" good question.

Actually, Ellis Island was a different period in our history and development. Not necessary with today's modern technology. The point is, there is a process in place to make formal application for citizenship. The spirit and generosity is still alive and well with most Americans, we are just as welcoming to those who are willing to be forthright in the application process and be good American citizens. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door." It hasn't lost any meaning after all these years.

Illegals drive down wages. Illegals need to go. Pay an American citizen $17/hr Pay an Illegal $10/hr When illegals flood the market wages take a dive. Ask Whirlpool about being undercut by shady practices of LG. www.crainsdetroit.com/article/20170601/NEWS01/170609983/whirlpool-heats-up-trade-fight-with-samsung-lg-over-washersWhirlpool must be racist. It's Supply and Demand. Illegals drive down wages. Blue Collar workers have had enough and that's why Donald J Trump is the President of the United States of America. Build the Wall.

I'm really confused, are you a communist or a Trump supporter? Because you can't be both. You must be really confused. I love that Bill Gates is a Billionaire - I don't want his money I want normal Blue Collar workers to be given a fair chance to provide for their families, not a handout. When you let illegals in you are driving down wages of Blue Collar workers, forcing them to be unemployed or making so little that they can't provide for their family unless they want to live like an Illegal that works in one of those shanties on St Rt 103 south of Willard where the illegals (oops they are all legal) live. (edit - I added a post below with a picture) ^^^ If you think that's communism then you are a really confused individual. Instead of calling Blue Collar workers racist, dumb, etc. maybe you should realize it's the CEO's that have done nothing in life except back stab and fire your co-workers and make you do your job plus your fired co-workers job for the same salary that are the problem. The money saved by that genius idea of the CEO goes to the CEO's pocket not yours. 41 million a year for a genius. Same genius idea from every single CEO, Cut back from 100 employees to 50, and have the 50 do twice the amount of work for the same wage. Genius. Those CEO's really earned those 41 million a year, I don't think anybody else within a company could make those smart decisions. CEO's are priceless. So, so smart. 90+% of CEO's are worthless, a dime a dozen, yet make millions Bill Gates = earned every penny Aetna's CEO makes $788,000 a WEEK. That means Aetna's CEO most likely makes more in a single day than you make in an entire year. Now tell me what makes Aetna's CEO so special to be earning that money? Do you think a mid-level Aenta employee making $150,000 a year could do the job of CEO at Aetna, or is Aenta's CEO just that special? While you want hardworking Blue Collar Amerian's to make zilch and have their wages driven down by illegals you ignore the absurd amount of money CEO's make when they are not that special. 41 million a year special, nope. Bill Gates is special.

so every Mexican in Willard/Celeryville is illegal? you can't welcome the legal ones back? how would you even know which is which? About 70% of Ohio’s immigrant farm laborers are undocumented. These can be divided into two categories: those with false papers who participate in the legal agricultural labor programs and those who are totally undocumented and are, in a number of cases, trafficked.

That article sportsjock provided a link to is the most inaccurate piece of journalism I've ever read. I don't question, you guys are probably right about the inaccuracies. I don't think the author was that experienced at investigative reporting and I don't think the journalist put a lot effort into authenticating his information. None-the-less, I found it an interesting read and enjoyed the photos.
