What is going on with Huron? Phew, talk about under-achieving. Chandler, I been trying to figure that one myself. I thought they would really make a great showing this year, I even think that I picked them to win the Bay this year because I have great respect for their coach and he usually gets the very best out of his players. But something is not working right for them this year. Maybe we should talk to Dump and get him back in shape and get him on the floor to help them out, what do you say Dump, you up for it. I'll get in to shape for this.

I thought they’d be up there too but they aren’t meshing very well. They all look uninterested.
I feel there are three levels in the Bay Division right now.
Vermilion
Oak Harbor Margaretta Edison
Everyone else

Your right on this one. There was no firer in them at all last night. They looked like they were Zombies. I really expected better out of them. You are right about the Bay and I don't see anybody catching Vermilion at all this year and from what I am hearing not even the next couple of years.

Vermilion is on a pedestal for sure. They are VERY GOOD. They will win the league this year and probably next. Their JV and Freshman teams looked pretty poor though. Especially if they are bumping up to the Lake Division like people on this board are talking about. I think they have this year and next to win things as well!

I'd imagine that every team that they've beaten has been a bit upset.

And in return the River is 1-7 vs the Bay and 0-2 vs the Lake (Clyde over St. Mary's and St. Joe's) in my calculations.

Does this come as some great surprise to anybody? Are we supposed to pat the big schools on the back for beating the teams that they are supposed to beat now? Or are we supposed to belittle the smaller schools to make the underachieving larger schools feel better about themselves?

Why does anything have to be done just because we now have the results of cross over games?

No, it just points out that this is a very status quo season in the area (especially in D3). No great teams in D2, D3, and D4. Much parity and balance, and some solid teams, but no D3 team that appears legit (Oak Harbor has only 1 D2 win). It will be a wide open district tournament in D2 and D3 and it should be fun.

I don't know. Ask your boy Portwalk, since he brought it up.
Moderator note: the chain of posts that followed this one have been moved to the "Madison D2 District thread" Continue any tournament/seeding discussion of Vermilion vs. other D2 teams there.

Vermilion 62 Perkins 55 Final
With Edison's win over Oak Harbor, Sailors clinch SBC Bay title for 2nd straight year. At Elyria Catholic Tuesday, but EC had several players ejected last night after a fight in their game vs. Parma. By rule, those kids may be suspended for a few games.

Bay games tonight Sandusky @ Huron St Paul @ Margaretta Vermilion & Elyria Catholic Hi Chandler, Lets see if I can keep my streak going here. 1) Sandusky over Huron. Sandtown has way too much for Huron to handle. 2) Margaretta over St. Paul's. I don't know why but the Flyers are in a tailspin. 3) Vermilion over Elyria Catholic. Elyria Catholic is going to be hit hard with players not playing this game for fighting at Parma game. Per state rules the ones that where ejected have to sit out a game, I think. Since I don't know how many were involve or if they are starters or not but if it's a couple of starters that is going to hurt EC in the long run tonight. Well there's my take lets see how it goes tonight.
