Even Alabama schedules cupcakes. Kids and coaches needed a blowout win. Nice! Comparing Alabama to Willard.

Just some quick honest thoughts from what I saw last night. Upper was better team by far. They were all skilled and made the right play. From Willard perspective, team can accomplish a lot this season if they correct the rebounding and turnovers. Uppers press is good they will be alright. Let's pump the brakes on Parrot being the messiah. Everyone has so so games but he is not the best player in last 5 or so years yet. He will be good. Paxton kid is not ready physically. It will take a couple of years but he has potential. Other than that Willard should have good season because of schedule, coaching and athletes. Agree with some of this, except your assessment of the Paxton kid. "Physically" he's more than ready. He may not be ready for other reasons, but his size, weight, athleticism isnt one of them. It takes time (game minutes) to adjust to the varsity game...not a couple years... give him til midseason and he'll be ready.

You need to pump the brakes on the Paxton boy .Not physically ready?kid is absolutely ready yes might of had an off game but so did a lot of the team .That kid plays hard nose defense and isn't scared to guard the other teams best player. Sees the court extremely well . You'll eat those words in a about 5 to 6 more games. The team needs him "isn't scared to guard the other teams best player". After two games you can make that assessment already? And I doubt Bucyrus has a "best player" so really you're basing that on just the Upper game. Incredible.

Heard there was a scrap tonight on a foul by bucyrus on a breakaway dunk.
Then Willard held the ball at half court the last 4 minutes.
Wild.

I'm just going by what I see. Paxton will be one of the top players in the program. Right now he is only a freshman. He has talent but does looks physically small which is to be expected. Kid isn't gonna be an all star right now, he is probably only 14. I just want to see the team win, I'm not taking shots. Glad to hear they won tonight.

There schedule is set up to help them win. IF they do have some talent this season they should have a good record by seasons end.

Maxpreps has him listed at 6’1, 165lbs, which IMO is pretty decent size for both a PG and a freshmen. May look smaller on the court considering some of the other size Willard has on the roster. What? 6’7, 6’6, a couple 6’3s?

Heights and weights are always exaggerated. I haven’t seen this kid except for one game in 8th grade and I doubt he’s 165. But my next question is, is he the next Langhurst or Dials? Why is there so much talk of a kid that isn’t even starting.

I don’t think anyone is parading around saying he’ll be the next Langhurst or Dials, but I think it means something that he’s a freshman on varsity, at least it used to in my day. Sounds like he’s a pass first PG, which seems to be something this team would find beneficial and needs more of. He’s two games into his Freshman season, I can’t imagine even if he were a Langhurst or Dials that he’d be lighting it up at this point.

I believe he's getting 1 full quarter of JV each game, which makes him available for 4 qtrs of Varsity. That makes sense considering the lack of backup guards on the Varsity roster.

Heights are pretty darn close. Baldridge was 6'5 last year so maybe that's were maxpreps got it from. He's legit 6'7 maybe a little taller. Don't think the Parrott kid is 6'3.6'1and half but lets not start splitting hairs over an inch. If your good enough who cares what your size is. Trey has a whole lot of heart and competes. Intangibles.just wait a little longer willard fans and let Parrott Baldridge pingston and Paxton gell as much as possible this year.next year watch out. Still have a whole season ahead of us and if THIS team can gell it will be fun as well

Seen video of Baldridge getting shoved in the back on a break away. The bucyrus kid was an idiot. That kid got his right back. Don't blame Skeeter for fighting back at all. Two game suspension. Team is going to miss him but we should be able to get by Carey and port clinton without him.

I have not seen a copy of the play but if I was on a breakaway dunk and somebody tried to “take me out” I’d be pretty ticked off. It’s good when kids show restraint and let the officials handle things to avoid suspension but man if you get your legs taken out from under you on a dunk it could end your career.
Quick comment after my own observation and from talking to a couple of people. This team has athletes and they are better prepared to run and make plays rather than running set plays all game. Aka Tyler Buss days.
However, if you don’t make a stop on the defensive end and have to take the ball out of bounds 90% of the time, you are stuck running plays. Defense needs to come first with this team, then let the athleticism take over on the offensive breakaway.

Exactly. ie... How Upper Sandusky plays.
