After the win versus Willard the other night Norwalk has 15 consecutive wins over the Flashes... This years seniors were 4th graders the last time Norwalk/Gray lost to the Flashes... who woulda thunk it

This thread has nothing to do with Willard but yet portwalk makes it about Willard. I’m really curious how you walk around all day long with that constant hard on for Willard.

Of the 82 schools on the list only 6, with at least 8 games, have winning records against Coach Gray. Lex 7-1(with the win this year), Mansfield Senior 12-6, Ontario 18-3(with the win this year), Orrville 7-1, River Valley 7-4 and Upper Sandusky 14-11

Hey port walk I'm no stat man, but I would be willing to bet Haas had more than 15 in a row against Norwalk.

Hey port walk I'm no stat man, but I would be willing to bet Haas had more than 15 in a row against Norwalk. Haas coached teams defeated Norwalk 32 straight times from 01/03/1975-02/19/1988...by an average of 16.5 per game.

This isn't a knock on Gray, just an observation. Deep down, I dislike Norwalk, which is why I like to fantasize alternative realities where Norwalk didn't go 23-1, 24-1, and 29-1 in three consecutive seasons. Sue me.
Gray's win percentage right now is 59.7% (400-270)
Without the Thomas/Haraway years, he is 324-267, good for a 54.8% win percentage. That difference in win percentage is like taking an 89 win baseball team and turning them into a 96 win team.

^^^Like him, love him, hate him, collecting 400 wins is not something many coaches can say they have done while being at different schools. His correct record is 402-270. Without the Terry Francona years, the Cleveland Indians haven't won a game in 5 years. Brilliant!

All those wins and he still physically abuses his players.
Shame on him.

Easy I was just looking at the list and the 27-17 record vs. Willard and it stuck out especially after as awebgsu pointed out Norwalk's lack of success of Norwalk vs Willard prior to Grays arrival... Add in the Dials/Langhurst years and it appeared that it would continue. Hard to believe the tide has turned that's all...

He could not beat Haas or Noss, I wonder what his record was vs Lillo. Obviously after Noss,,it's been all Gray Lillo's brief coaching career was over when Gray came to Norwalk so unless he had a game against with Lex or CC there was none. As for Noss I know with Norwalk his first victory was in the 04-05 season @ Norwalk and then they won again a couple weeks later beating Willard again in a district semi prior to getting pounded by Diebler & Deibler a couple nights later. He also had struggles after Langhurst losing a couple games they should have won. However since 09 Gray hasn't lost to the Flashes...

Actually hard to believe his record was that good against Noss keeping in mind Dials and Langhurst spent 6 years at Willard during Noss’s tenure...

This one wasn't too bad since it was just combining scores from 4 different files into one and creating some pivot tables...now collecting the data takes some time.

GO TRUCKERS Berg, The way it looked to me was after awebgsu put the records up than portwalk started right in with Norwalk winning another over Willard. That's the way that I see it. Anybody else seen it different.

Was not a Willard thing however when your my age and looking at those records if someone told you 20 years ago Norwalk is NOT going to lose to Willard for nearly a DECADE you would’ve chuckled that’s all...
Also surprised by Steve’s lack of success vs Ontario if that only translated come tournament time for OHS...
