Closer to the truth is that the kids for whatever reason are staying home and playing for Wooster.

Yeah and I held my comment until your last post. I read it Friday night and recognized it for the immature sour grapes that it was. Hardly, 1. It was an observation noticed from the second I stepped out of my vehicle. 2. Sour grapes.... No, my happiness on a daily basis is not based on the results of a high school football game. 3. You say you held your tongue until my last comment. What was this incendiary comment that crossed all bounds of decorum and social acceptance and pushed you over the edge? Two words, "Buckeye Valley". 4. You're right, my observation didn't require that it be stated. Doesn't make it true or untrue, but the level of PC offense about it is exaggerated. But it is common in society today to be easily offended. I withdraw my opinion. Maybe the thought police will go easy on me. I'm just going to let this go because it is a waste of my and your time. You're a better man than me. Sleep well.

Again, stay classy. And I've been to your town and stadium. Not exactly the garden spot of America you have there so try being a little more careful when you cast stones.

You won't see me defending the town of Galion much here or anywhere else since I didn't grow up here and don't have that level of loyalty, but I have heard from others, and I agree with the fact that the setting of our stadium in the park in kinda cool. Kinda like Shelby's, just a neat location.

Gotta be totally honest "urinal cakes" a little insulting, at the same time, very funny. More accurate? Hamburgers, Corn, Blacktop?
The setting for the Galion Stadium, track and baseball/softball facilities in the park is wonderful .... What a great, neat place to play.
Very Glad we can all get along.
Best MOAC facilities NOW - Highland .....formerly? River Valley and Galion.

It's dropped. I was outta line and I got defensive. I'll be humble about that. I'm actually a really nice guy Our track could use relining and our lighting towers would look better as aluminum poles as opposed to the current trussed towers. I think I just have an affinity for the older off-campus stadiums like the ones mentioned before. Maybe Arlen Field in Mansfield too. Great location.

Northmor by far has the best facilities in the MOAC! Just asking, but was that genuine or sarcastic? I can't tell. They definitely have the newest high school. When I was in school in the 90s, Northmor and Highland were the ones I remember having the biggest gyms and my school, MG having the smallest it seemed. Now, that's changed. I remember going to a MG/Highland basketball game and I was sitting on the front row at floor level and Highland's varsity players walked in front of us to get suited up. One of the players on that team was 7'2" Jason Terry. He was TALL!

North Union. Chicken n noodles. Northmor-not quite. Was there for track last year. Hate going to Galion. Not because of the stadium. Parking sucks. Went to a baseball game the same day as a huge track meet and softball and walked about 5 miles to get there...so the next for football we got there super early to get that parking spot.

Some of the parking is difficult. Some is great. Parking in the closest stadium lot when it is full is difficult to maneuver safely with kids running through in the dark. Best to back into your spot there. Parking along Heise Park dr on the single rows of parking spots on each side is pretty good. Better if you back in since the curve of the road can provide for some hairy backing-out. Other than that, the lots beside the pool aren't too bad. I've had to park at the YMCA on Gill Ave for busier games (homecoming, wynford, CC in previous years). One thing that we really need to improve if anyone with connections is viewing (doubt it). The pedestrian traffic flow in front of the concession stand is way too tight.

I think it's pretty cool Galions field is in the park. I know I like to get to games early to fine parking. I like to park were its easier to leave after the game. I know at BV and Galion game last year I was out on the road with in a few minutes by backing into a spot across from the entrance

Good to hear about Galion's concession stand.
I've never sampled North Union's concessions so I don't know about that but I will say that whatever the hot chicken stuff served at the Cardington visitor side concession stand (probably athletic or band boosters) was fantastic.
The only concession stand I haven't visited on an away game this year was Buckeye Valley. Just too far away from where I was and it looked like there were alot of people (maybe more like students) roaming around it so I passed. BV had a pretty large crowd at that game so I just figured it would be too inconvenient.
The best grilled burgers so far this year. KEYSTONE by far!. They have a great stadium as well.

I'm not sure what the concession stand is like for football games at North Union but for basketball games they have the best in the conference, by far. You can get so many good things at that concession stand, chicken and noodles, ice cream, brownies. It's amazing. It may be the best concession stand I've ever seen for a high school game.
