Transfer from an Arizona State RB to the Buckeyes as a LB? Did anyone else see this? He was a star linebacker in school as well. I'm not doubting his past skills, only asking if anyone else saw it was happening.

He was originally recruited by Ohio St as a LB, so this makes more sense than you realize What’s the likelihood that the Rose Bowl is played? I am WELL aware that he has not played LB for 3 years. What are the odds of lighting striking twice in the same place?

I was n't saying it didn't make sense, only that I just heard of this. The kid is from Akron and still has 2-3 years of eligibility I guess so he can get closer to home and probably play.

I think he picked OSU because he sees a path to the NFL as a LB perhaps?

Anyone hear if Olave and/or Wilson are leaning toward opting out of the Rose Bowl. I haven't seen them on any official lists yet. The 7 point opening line hasn't really moved much. Wilson has opted out. Olave is practicing so I would say that means he plans on playing. I think the chance to play in front of his family, being an LA guy, has a lot to do with it

A loss will make for a very negative vibe around the program this off season.

Wilson, Olave, Garrett, and Petite-Freire have all opted out for the Rose Bowl.
We’ll see a lot of young guys this Saturday, especially at WR.

Zero worries about Ohio St pass offense. My worry is Utah physical run game against our poorly coached linebackers

I don't follow this near as close as anyone but I must say pretty smart of Olave to catch a free ride home if he is a LA guy. Smart thinking young man!

Not sure why Olave would practice unless he’s just doing receiver drills. DT should be alright as long as they play Williams. Don’t understand why he hasn’t seen more snaps. Wonder if they move Munford or Johnson to LT and play Jones at one of the guard positions

New DC coming in, lots of talent returning, and starting the next season off against Notre Dame. All will be well within the program.

Unless there's other news or maybe most of the money has been on Utah. I guess it could be a lot of things.

I'm expecting a loss. I don't get vibes from what I'm reading that OSU is all in on this game. Losing two AA caliber WR's and a LT is tough to bounce back from.
The opt outs kinda soured me on this team and game. Hard to believe we have 4 guys who chose not to play. If I was on a team where 4 of your best starters chose not to play, takes some zing out of the enthusiasm --it had to have. Especially disappointed in Olave. He's from Cali,,,play in front of the fam and friends. Chance to go out a winner after a sub par MICH performance from him and the team. smh

With the amount of money on the line for some of these guys I don’t blame them for sitting. These bowls are so meaningless that entire teams are opting out. At the very least we get see what some of these younger stud receivers

I don't blame anyone for sitting out but it does suck. Still looking forward to Harrison Jr. and Egbuka getting some legit pt. Big chance for Fleming.

Bowl games have become 'meaningless', because we have cheapened the product. Far too many bowl games. No way, teams that lost as many games as they won, be rewarded with a post season bowl. The bowl season has become a joke.

Hearing OSU is down to about 60 scholarship players and has rona issues to boot. It would be a shame to see OSU “duck” Utah after all the accusing they did towards Michigan in 2020.

Guess I'm old school in that I dont like transfer portal or opting out of bowl games. Was taught you make a commitment, you keep it. BUT with everyone else making Big $$$$ off these athletes, I certainly dont blame them. Dont like it, but dont condemn them either. Just my opinion.

I’m hearing Cade Stover is back to linebacker The quote I saw from Kevin Wilson was that he is at LB for this week and then they will evaluate it again in the off-season about what he’ll do.

I wonder if they know he played QB in high school also. Maybe he could take a couple snaps. This kid has been moved around so much that it shows the coaches interest in his versatility and athletic abilities. Similar to the desire of keeping Chambers involved.
