Even with the opt outs this is an embarrassing showing so far. Hope they can turn it around and play some more inspired ball.

Some of these guys who think they should have started or got more playing time are now getting their chance. Now you know why they didnt play more

Guess I'm old school in that I dont like transfer portal or opting out of bowl games. Was taught you make a commitment, you keep it. BUT with everyone else making Big $$$$ off these athletes, I certainly dont blame them. Dont like it, but dont condemn them either. Just my opinion. What just happened to Ransom is the reason why I don’t have a problem with anyone opting out of these bowl games

The SEC officials sure love those targeting calls, Threw the Ohio State player out, But not the Utah player. What a farce targeting calls are.

If you haven't had enough of the Buckeye Sieve I feel for you. They have no answers aside from trying to run up big offensive numbers. Inadequate scheme? Poor coaching? Perhaps these 4-and 5-star players aren't as good as advertised? Win or lose the defensive problems aren't going anywhere.
Ten+ win years are great, they will win their share but they will not be a top four team as it now stands.
Based on what I've seen of Knowles I think there may be hope.

Something mysteriously happened on defense at halftime. Only 3 points for Utah in the 2nd half, 24 for OSU.

Someone explain why JSN should play next year? If he doesn’t play a down he’s still a first round draft pick in 2023. He’s got millions of dollars to lose on a potential injury.

Man, I really hope winning an instant classic that just might be one of the best Rose Bowls ever played doesn't make for a negative vibe in the program this off-season.

What an absolute barnburner!! Smith-Njigba just made his argument for being the best Buckeye WR of all time with the season he had.

The second half answered all your questions, now didn't it. I had a good feeling at halftime, despite being down two TD's and it proved to be warranted. The Rose Bowl proved to be best bowl game of the year and perhaps the best game of the entire season. How many records were set in this game?

Whatever adjustments and words of wisdom was said, it really showed. They had a huge plate to fill and they did it. Very impressive and it made me have faith that our defense isn’t long gone. Might not be the season we all wanted, but it might just have been the season we needed.

"The second half answered all your questions, now didn't it."
No. The question about how on Earth the QB took it to the house was never adequately elucidated. Ditto for how Kincaid got behind the secondary twice in a row, one of those coming after getting racked up. Great job on the punt muff, huh? If it pleases you we can credit the defense for knocking their #1 QB out of the game. If that performance feels uplifting I don't know what to tell you.
I didn't have too many questions about the offense coming in so there's always that. 683 yards total offense, nice day! Defense gave up under 500 total yards and stifled Utah into a mere 34 minutes TOP.
Day stated after the game that he was heartened to see guys standing up at halftime and laying out how it was going to be. I read into that that the entire squad bought in. Great. OTOH, it's game thirteen and that was hardly a second half that would inspire the Silver Bullets.
Make no mistake, that's a fine football team. Not on the level of Bama and Georgia however, and they are the metric. I just find it frustrating that a team so close to greatness is so vulnerable defensively.

Lmao I remember when people said that about Trevor Lawrence too. Just stop dude. Lawerence should have sat and those with that type of draft stock should always sit it out imo. We are talking about millions on the line for these guys and JSN is one of those guys. That injury to Jalen Smith cost him millions of dollars and nearly ended his career without him earning a penny. Smart move is to sit and make sure you get that life changing pay day. BTW Marcus Williamson’s download on OSU/Urban was pretty brutal. Using a picture of Trayvon Martin in that context is not cool.

Wilson has opted out. Olave is practicing so I would say that means he plans on playing. I think the chance to play in front of his family, being an LA guy, has a lot to do with it Utah’s secondary is pretty bad so losing Wilson hurts. Big big game for OSU on New Years Day. A loss will make for a very negative vibe around the program this off season. 🤣🤣🤣

Something that hasn’t been mentioned much is Stover’s move to LB and even starting. I thought he looked good for not having been there all year. Looked like he enjoyed laying some hits. Seems like he may stay there for next year?

So of all the players who started last night for Ohio State, how many return on each side of the ball?

So of all the players who started last night for Ohio State, how many return on each side of the ball? 9 on offense if Jones stays. Btw, they lead the country in Offense Defense will be interesting. Depending on if Harrison leaves you are looking at losing just Smith at d-end and Cage at NT, which they have guys that can fill all 3 of those spots. The back 7 is pretty much in tack. Proctor hopefully will be healthy, because he’s a difference maker. They will have to find a new kicker. Also can they find a someone that can kick the kickoff into the end zone? Geez that’s annoying

Lots of experience returning, now just get them all in the right spots and schemes.
