As for Stroud, yes he has great stats so far and playing well. I still am having a hard time seeing him as the “man”, the one that’s going to lead the team to a national title. I can’t quite pinpoint what it is but I’m just not feeling it from him yet for some reason. I hope he proves me wrong. Still a long ways to go. Not disagreeing with you on the feeling, but everyone loves RB Henderson and the kid has 69 YDs in 2 games. Maybe if he was getting that stats equal to the respect he has from the fans, then Stroud would get more love. The way I see that stats at this point, Stroud and the receivers have been carrying the team, but everyone is questioning Stroud. Just an observation.

I completely agree, if it wasn’t for Stroud and our wide receivers we’d probably be 0-2 right now. Like I said, I don’t know what it is exactly about Stroud. It’s not necessarily the stats, just other intangibles, body language, etc. But I hope he proves me wrong, and he probably will.

He definitely does not carry himself like a strong and powerful player/leader.

I hold full expectations of TreyVeyon being one of our all-time greatest to ever play the position at Ohio State, before he finally moves to the NFL, barring injury. The OL needs to work on their run blocking. As someone mentioned, they are a group of tackles, making them virtually unpenetratable on pass blocking, but need to work on being more effective on pulling and creating running seams. C.J. has a lot of room for development, but he will get their and we should see his development, game to game. The next three games should see immense improvement in this team in a number of areas. This is a team of very talented, 4 & 5* players, but short on experience. Fans need to be patient with this team, it won't be a season of disaster, rather a season of surprises. We've already seen our initial surprises and they were negative. The positive surprises are yet to come.

My point was Stroud has put up HUGE numbers in the first two games and being tossed under the bus by some while the RBs who are supposed to be the studs of the O have not performed well. SO FAR.

The people calling for Day to be fired are just idiots, those are the ones that think they’re true fans but they’re really not. As for Stroud, yes he has great stats so far and playing well. I can't see a national title in the cards for this team regardless of who the QB is. UNLESS Ohio State had a lock down defense, in which case Stroud would me more than sufficient.

Can't be his head or his arm....THE 2 single most important parts of a QBs body

What do you want 90% completion rate, 6 TDs and 600 passing yards per game?

I encourage you to sit back and watch either of the first two games, with your focus on the TE, WR's, slot-back when the primary target is covered and you will understand my point. This is in no way a criticism, but an observation of areas he can and will improve on, which is primarily, the mental aspect of the game. He'll get there.

Stroud has played well, but the numbers are a bit inflated, given the lack of a consistent running game. In most cases, a one dimensional offense is a formula for disaster, prone to overloading defenses. The running game is greatly hampered by the OL. Like I mentioned before, great pass blocking, but the run blocking is not there yet. The good part is, it's easily correctable. When this offense gets all phases operating operating as they should, it's going to be a scary spector for opposing defenses and an exciting and entertaining point of pride for Buckeye fans.

My point was Stroud has done more than his part to make things happen. His stats may be inflated due to the running game being poor, but if he was playing at the same level as the running game his stats would also be poor. Don't misunderstand me in thinking we can be successful without a running game. I'm only saying Stroud is not a concern for our poor play thus far. Can he improve? A redshirt freshman, heck yes he can. Is he the reason we struggled with Minnie and lost to Oregon? not even part of it.

He's much, much smarter than any of us, when it comes to the game of football. Certainly, the most difficult and trying press conference he may ever have in his career. I think C.J. is playing very well, but will only get better with game exposure and the patient coaching of Ryan Day and Corey Dennis, who was named as one of the 30 best coaches under the age of 30, by 247 Sports. Everyone had it in their heads, being Urban Meyer's son-in-law, he was given his opportunities without actually earning it. He's the real deal folks and the young man has a bright future ahead of him.

Concerns with Ohio St for me are simple that defense is atrocious right now.
