Bellevue’s line had their way with Galion tonight. That QB for Bellevue is a heck of a runner and with that kind of blocking, he drove the final dagger. Galion looked tight tonight and completely killed themselves with all the bad snaps. Bellevue is the real deal which I figured they would be. Bellevue and Shelby look to be on a crash course for each other.

Good game so far. Galion shooting themselves in the foot. Bad snaps, bad exchanges between Qb and RB kickoff returned for a td. Hopefully they can clean that up. Looking forward to a great second half!

Lucas defeated Cuyahoga Heights comfortably. Clear Fork was behind Lexington 24-0 at halftime and Tedrow hit a wide open receiver in the end zone with 1 second left to defeat Lexington 29-27 tonight.

Is that cable tv? Or is that something that can be paid for online? It’s not looking like I’m going to be able to access tickets so I’m hoping to be able to watch it at home. I ended up getting hooked up with tickets. I will be at this game!

I’m thinking the Galion/Bellevue game in 2010 was something like a 16-7 win for Bellevue. Galion’s last trip to BAF resulted in a win in 2009. The 2010 score at Heise Park was 22-6 Bellevue. The 2009 score at BAF was 54-33 Galion, to clinch an outright NOL title. Man was that ever a crazy year on NOSF...all the drama in the threads about Upper and Galion leaving, and then Galion runs the table in football. I can only imagine the intensity of some of those discussions on NOSF at that time. I didn’t make it there until 2011 when the NCC imploded and remember some really passionate discussions on the topic then. The craziest thing about Galion run the table in 2009 was that the NOL was the weakest it ever was in recent memory. Galion got the #1 seed in R14 and a home playoff game and got completely annihilated by Eastwood.

I have nothing against Galion, and not to add insult to injury, but it was Schools like the big bad Bellevue Redmen that caused Galion to bolt the NOL. Well...yes and no. Was Galion losing to Bellevue and TC? Yes. They were also experiencing a large drop in enrollment. When I moved to the area Galion had very similar enrollment to the bigger schools in the NOL. A lot of people gave them a hard time about leaving, but in reality it was probably the right move. I think the enrollment difference was a factor. But they really tried to sell the switch on the travel aspect. They were not pleased that Fostoria replaced Bucyrus and they replaced a 10 mile drive down route 19 with a 60 mile drive.

This one is intriguing. Keystone does indeed play in a weak league and Edison is nobody to sleep on. Good luck to the Orange and Blue from another Orange and Blue school!

I’m thinking the Galion/Bellevue game in 2010 was something like a 16-7 win for Bellevue. Galion’s last trip to BAF resulted in a win in 2009. This will be a tremendous challenge for Galion. The SBC Lake is imo the strongest top to bottom conference/division in D4. Bellevue has a wonderful tradition and Coach Nastoni has done a tremendous job there for the last 30 years. Galion is playing their best football of the season now which is important. I think Bellevue will win, but Galion will keep it closer than most would give them credit for.

After tonight's game I take Galion over any team out there, they can't be stopped no one have seen our speed or our tough defense, Bellevue better watch out the Tigers are coming to town and beat them up I have nothing against Galion, and not to add insult to injury, but it was Schools like the big bad Bellevue Redmen that caused Galion to bolt the NOL. Unfortunately the superintendent and head football coach were the ones who pushed for that move. Interestingly both are Wynford grads for what it’s worth. Virtually nobody running the district now was around when that all went down. That being said, I think most Galionites were not in favor of leaving the NOL. Bellevue and Tiffin notoriously beat Galion a lot. And both didn’t have a problem running the score up into the 60’s if they wanted. But that never bothered me that much. And it was that much sweeter when we did beat Bellevue/Tiffin. In fact, I would love to see Galion schedule Bellevue OOC. There is an opening next year in week 1 and week 2 will be opening up after next year.

I am pleased with Galion's play tonight like I said Galion will make a run and defeat any team out there, it's going to be 1985 all over again Uh nope. Honestly, I still can't believe that we get to count this as an actual playoff victory. I agree. Now if they win next Saturday at Bellevue it’s a completely different story.

A few thoughts. Lucas is a great team. I love the style of offense they run. They are solid on the lines. Galion was a different team tonight. Having the 3 players back made all the difference in the world. It showed up at the beginning of the game when they hit on the long passing play for a td. 17 just outran everyone. A game like this shows why there are 7 divisions. I expect Lucas to do well in the playoffs. They sure have been battle tested. I knew donaldson was out but who else was out? One was a lineman.
