well i just check joe eitel and both St.Paul and Mapleton are going to play october 30,which means Mapleton dropped Wellington and the flyers and mounties meet at Mapleton october 30.Western and Plymouth already made there game up with Western winning. South Central and New London will make up friday.now what happens if St.Paul beats Mapleton then St.Paul will be up a half game up.what will the conference do about the mess as far as Monroeville and Crestview if St.Paul wins. If St. Paul beats Mapleton, they should declare St. Paul and Ashland Crestview Co-Champions. If Mapleton beats St. Paul, then Ashland Crestview should be declared outright Firelands Conference Champions.

I heard that Monroeville wanted to be done so they could claim a share of the FC Title and wanted no part of Crestview (which IMO Crestview would have won by at least two TD's). People I talked to said that Crestview was really looking forward to playing at Monroeville but since they turned their equipment in even though the game was scheduled for 10/30 Crestview had to go searching for another week 10 game. I don't think that Monroeville should have any claim of the title for this act since they ducked Crestview and it should become a forfeit with the FC Title going to St. Paul & Crestview. The only thing the Crestview people were told was that their coach collected all equipment after their playoff loss and was done even though it was voted that all teams played the remaining game if not still in the playoffs. This was my thought also when I first read about this. Monroeville should not be awarded a share of the title for running scared. What are they teaching there kids? With that being said I really hope there is a legitimate reason they are not going to play the game. If this game would have been played I would take Crestview by at least 3 Touchdowns.

I’m going to say SP is the only FC school to advance Hoss, you called it.

A lot of post playoff regular season games have been added to various schedules. I've updated those I've seen for far on the original post. Thanks Bellevue. That is very interesting.

I'm hearing numbers are going to be an issue quickly for St. Paul. How many more years will Livengood stay in there? Because I worry that when he leaves, that program will be in trouble. I also have been worried about what would happen to the St. Paul football program if Coach Livengood ever left. I don't think he's leaving anytime soon but things change. He has a two or three year old son so hopefully he will keep coaching until his son graduates, that maybe wishful thinking.

I heard a RUMOR, and this is only a rumor, that a St. Paul starting offensive lineman, has transferred to NorwalK. Anyone else hear this. I could give a name but being this is only a rumor I thought it was best not to give his name.

Serious question: where is River Valley? East of Marion, located near Caledonia. It's no more than 10 minutes outside of Marion city limits. Thanks shelby.

Saw Mr. Blaire got removed from yet another game. That dude is a grade A TOOL. At least no one will have to deal with his idiocy until next November. Feel sorry for his kids who had to watch that happen.

Uppers bigs dominated inside and great perimeter defense stopped warriors cold. Norwalk's bugs dominated inside against smaller shelby. If final game called like ontario game was, upper wins by double digits. If called like shelby game norwalk has a shot. But think upper is overall better team with better overall defense and better offense. Congrats to Upper and Coach Winslow on their tournament run, minus two and possibly three starters now, but I like Norwalk in this one.

Dude, you are correct they have played most of these schools for many years now partially because of their close proximity and partially because Coach Smith wants to play good competition prior to the tournament. No, in my opinion, they do not actively pursue games outside the area.

SP has a very tough remaining schedule. Not saying they will but there is the possibility that they could lose 7 more games. Jan.21-Willard Jan.25-at Huron Jan.30-at Margaretta Jan.31-at Western Reserve Feb. 8-at Sandusky St. Mary Feb.14-at South Central Feb.15-Perkins
Once again I don't think they will lose all these games, just that the possibility exists. One thing about St. Paul ,they are not afraid to schedule good competition.

Coming from the FC thread as well, Should be a whole thread on this game. Should be a big one. Both teams have dynamic duos and great supporting casts. I don’t think that St. Paul should be AP #1 but if they manage to beat Willard I’d say they surely deserve it! Agree juju about the potential Willard-St. Paul matchup on January 21, but St.Paul has 2 tough conference games before that (at Plymouth Friday and at Monroeville next Friday) and a really tough non conference opponent this Saturday at home in Tiffin Calvert who just knocked off Clyde 55-48. So if they win them 3 then knock off Willard then that #1 ranking would start to look more justified. IMO Willard will handle St. Paul in a very fast paced shootout.

I'll take Western by 25 over Monroeville. It is good to see Monroeville starting to turn it around though.

Do you know if Huron is putting in for these games? Exactly. If Huron is not putting in to host, it's hard to bash the OHSAA for not giving it to them. Maybe sportsvideo can chime in? I prefer Bellevue over Huron, personally, so I'm not upset. Bellevue has a spread of food before the game, at halftime, a big press box, and an outstanding amount of parking. I've never been a fan of the parking at Huron. I agree, I would rather watch a game at Bellevue over Huron. Huron is ok, Bellevue is better.

Let’s hope Jake. I do want to call some kids out. I know at least one NSP coach reads these boards. To you couple of St Paul players who walked through the line refusing to shake hands with the opposing players or coaches, SHAME ON YOU, especially the team captain who refused to shake hands. Sportsmanship goes both ways and sometimes you are on the losing end, suck it up and deal with it. You know who you are, and so do I. I think if Coach Livengood knows about it, I am betting the guilty players will be talked to or have already been talked to.
