Knupke was first team all district all four years of high school I believe. Her size doesn’t show it but she can hold her own. It all just comes down to the poll voters and who they believe had the better years, maybe some go off of pure stats, maybe some take into account competition played or just pure name of program. It happens with every sport that players get snubbed.

Columbian’s head baseball coach wasn’t resigned, he’s been coaching for quite awhile? it’s probably more for the spring post but just seen this one so I commented.

Sandusky up 21-7 at the half. SHS interception in the end zone with under a minute to go, next play Stewart takes it 80 yards for his 3rd TD of the half

Coach Keys has lived in NL for years and his son is currently a student and player on t he football team. He has been an assistant with Sandusky for over a decade and is also an alum of SHS

No time table has been set then? Are they running workouts or liftings, if so who is running them?

I believe your records and quick write up on your team are submitted then each HC has until a certain day, usually Thursday at midnight to submit their seeding vote. Then the coaches will meet on Sunday to fill out the bracket. Up until a few years ago all of this was done on one day with no computer voting everything was face to face.

I'm surprised the mouthpiece for Norwalk Athletics that works for the Register, which has covered Norwalk more than some of the other area schools hasn't wrote a piece on the coaching situation in Norwalk. There sure was a quick multi page special for their state title in the Sandusky Register though

I believe that is a rule for all sports seasons, players who transition from one sport to the next are allowed seven days off with no punishment. Although most kids don't take this because they want to get right to their next sport.

As someone said above Alexander was going to graduate early and enroll at MSU, which he still plans to do. So I would assume he wouldn't play basketball this year anyways. He really didn't give the Streaks any scoring last year anyways just some rebounding. He just came off the bench to give some athleticism with the second rotation.

I agree with birdman...We all heard on here how Sandusky had that 4-5 athletes and if someone could match up with them they would give Sandusky a run...Well it took more than a few ..It was a whole TEAM effort that Clyde brought to their home table and cleaned it up with no left overs ... Lucky.?? Not one bit .. There was no l s in that TEAM from Clyde .Good coaching good game plan and most of alll TEAM EFFORT ... Good luck Cyde Fliers . How does Jordy Nelson look without Aaron Rodgers or their wr group? Does anyone think that in a playoff week the coach is going to take time from a limited amount of practice to put the #2 QB in for valuable practice snaps just in case Alexander got hurt? He would have ran his normal backup reps just like they regularly would have. I wonder how those Clyde teams would have faired if Alex Gillette (sp) would have went down in the middle of a game his Sr season? Nevermind I already know they would have had another D1 recruit ready to go right after him, right in the middle of the game...

IMO I just think Clyde has the better coaching, and we’re vastly more prepared. I don’t buy the whole senior standout, best player, demoralizing injury took the wind out of the sails bit. Or Alexander really does make a 49 point difference. Didn't they score 48 points with him against clyde just two weeks ago?

Again would win loss have been the same who knows but you can't tell me that losing a 3 year starter/D1 recruit at QB doesn't mean anything...how many of those type of football players come out of this area every year?

He went down before the end of the first quarter and after that there was absolutely no threat in the passing game and clyde loaded the box for the last 3 quarters, which held Stewart in check. Yes there are other weapons but as someone said when you lose your senior captain in that way the team is going to feel it.
Now did Sandusky hurt themselves? Yes, 88 had two seperate personal foul/unsportsman like penalties the first of which would have ended Clyde's first drive but put them in position to go down and score their first TD. Then another TD handed to them on the penalty from the field goal attempt.

You really think the outcome would be the exact same with Alexander on the field? Losing, most likely, the Lake POY isn't going to hurt your team?
