"Just curious, but how many of the kids on the varsity basketball team played for Ontario in MS?" Was all he was asking. I read that too, but you didn't answer him. WF answered 2.

Just curious, but how many of the kids on the varsity basketball team played for Ontario in MS? All but 2 played in Jr Hi. The 6-4 Freshman off the bench moved to Ontario this summer. The 5-9 senior guard off the bench transferred from Shelby the summer between his Freshman and Sophomore years. The key is home grown coaching. Are you sure the freshman did not play any in MS? I know he was there.

Your right. Outside of the many exceptions, they may question the color option for sports. Though it doesn't block you from attending the school. It was still an asinine statement. At Ontario there has been very few open enrollment kids contributing at the top levels to make much of a difference. One of them this year had to physically move to play here.

Why would we be talking about "non-sports playing students" on a sports forum? We are talking about kids who play sports changing schools. They eased the restrictions on those that open enroll before school starts.

Open enrollment before school starts, isn't looked at like a mid year transfer. It doesn't matter at all to non-sports playing students.

You don't need a reason under the states program. You can go because you like the colors better.

You build it and they will come.  The NOL gets rid Ontario this year. You let out the main words, CHEATING THE SYSTEM for both schools Please explain how they are "cheating the system" ?

Ontario is actually a township school. If it was just a city school, it would be much smaller. If true it would be called Springfield Schools. City school boundaries do not stop at the city limits. The difference may be there is a city of Ontario, there is no city of Perkins. That is the legal name. The system was established before Ontario came into existence. I don't know if they still do, but the buses still carried the name long after.

Sorry if I confused you but Ontario was not in the NOL from 2002-2007. I was meaning Upper being in the N10 now like Ontario was in the small school NCC during the time I posted. Not confused. They are winning in the BIGGER NOL and not doing anything either. They were in that smaller conference when they made their last regional appearance.

You can only do so much with a schedule. When Norwalk had their run a few years back, plenty of people said they had no chance cuz they didn't play a tough enough schedule (and I realize they did add teams like Whitmer and Lorain). You play the teams that you play, hope to win, and advance. Right now, Upper could become the Ontario from 2002-2007. Winning records and conference championships but get nowhere in tournament. Like being in the NOL?

Those numbers look further out of wack than the 1st set. Or some schools didn't report correctly last time.....

Ontario ties the game with a 3 with 14 seconds left. Shelby turns it over with 1.5 seconds left. Ontario hits ceiling on inbounds. Back to Shelby. Shelby misses and we go to OT tied at 57.
