On to week 4 we go and conference play begins. The 3-0 Tigers travel to Pleasant Township to take on the 2-0 Spartans in the first week of new look MOAC play! Galion is coming off of a 23-0 win against Portsmouth, while Pleasant defeated Bucyrus 51-0 last week. Pleasant has won 2 of the 3 meetings against Galion including 63-39 last year. Thoughts on this one.....

I think we (Galion) probably go down in this one. Our record looks nice but I just don't see that we've proven anything yet.
I hope we win but I expect a loss. Probably by more points than we think.

I say we shock the world this week. MOAC will get a taste of what speed can do to you. I'm pulling for my Tigers!!

I say we shock the world this week. MOAC will get a taste of what speed can do to you. I'm pulling for my Tigers!! I always said that we wouldn't know much until conference play. If we win this week, that would be the first win that would give me a real idea of the talent level of the team compared to the other MOAC teams. If we are competitive, that may also give us a positive assessment (something along the lines of a 35-28 result).

If the game is going to be competitive it's going to need be be lower scoring than that. Possibly low to mid 20's.

Wont be Close, Pleasant 48 Galion 7 Hard to say at this point. We have one common opponent so far, Bucyrus. Pleasant won at home 51-0, Galion won on the road 34-0. Pleasant's other win was against 1-2 Fredericktown whose only win is by 13 points over an 0-3 team. Galion's other wins are against 1-2 Cardington who beat an 0-3 team, and over Portsmouth whose only win is over a one win team whose only win was over an 0-3 team. There just aren't any signature wins on either teams resume at this point. (in my opinion). I don't agree with 48-7 though. I think it will be closer than that but maybe more than one score (maybe 10-14 point differential?)

There's no way Pleasant hold my Tigers to 7 points. Maybe 21 points...but not 7.

If they load the box and force us to beat them by throwing the ball down the field 7 points is within the realm of possibility.

Our speed will overwhelm them. They are ripe for a defeat (Pleasant). Harrison will dump it off to Takoda or Tanner, and they will run like the wind. By the 4th, they won't be able to keep up with us. As long as we don't get stupid with the ball, we will win this game.

Don't overrate our speed. We've played some slow teams. I don't think we're as fast as we've been the previous few years. I recall our qb getting run down from behind on about the 6 yard line last week. Also speed only matter if we can get the ball to them in space.

If this was Vegas I would be asking for your Money Galiontiger. I don't see Pleasant losing this one.

I don't see Galion winning but I think it will be closer than the 24 points they lost by last year. They will struggle to win in this conference but I don't think they will be blown out as bad like they were last year.

I'll change it up a bit by saying that the game will be close until the 4th quarter, but Pleasant will pull away in the end; winning 35 - 27.

Last year's game was a blow-out only because they scored every time they handed the ball off last year. haha! We put up more points on Pleasant than all but one team in the MOAC - Marion Harding (41 points) did to them... (us - 39 points). That was our best offensive game all year long..too bad it was also our last. LOL

Don't get me wrong Galion is much better than last year especially when it comes to the line play. I picked Pleasant to win the MOAC at the end of last year and they are still a team to beat. Let me put it this way. If Galion wins this one, then they will be one of the teams to beat in this conference. At this point Clear Fork is the team to beat though. Unfortunately I just don't think Galion has improved enough to win this one but I hope I'm wrong.

I picked pleasant to win this one, double digits probably. Galion will compete, neither team has played anyone. It'll be interesting one. I think if galion can stop the run they could shock pleasant. I have CF, Harding, then pleasant in the moac.

I'm not sure that I wouldn't throw BV into the mix as well. I would pick CF with a gun to my head though.

I left right at halftime. It was hard to watch. 38 unanswered points by Pleasant in the 1st half (5 TD's w/ extra points and a field goal). Man, did the Tigers get kicked tonight ! ! !

Galion's ones scored against the Pleasant JVs late in the third and then their twos scored with a minute plus for the final.

A is greater than B and B is greater than C; therefore, A is greater than C. Good point !
