Can you believe it's week 7 already? The 6-0 Clear Fork Colts roll into Heise Park this Friday night to take on the 4-2 Galion Tigers. The Colts are coming off a 52-8 win at River Valley while the Tigers fell 44-21 at Marion Harding. This is Galion's 9th annual "Connections Weekend" which corresponds with homecoming and Alumni Band night. On the field, it doesn't look good for Galion in this one as Clear Fork has played tremendous football thus far and I know they have a 2 headed monster at quarterback. This is the first meeting for Galion of 2 against the newcomers of the MOAC with the Ontario game being over there in week 9. Galion and Clear Fork have little history against each other all time with one meeting, a Galion win in 1972. Going even further back to pre merger has little more to show, as Galion played Bellville in 1904 and tied them. Thoughts on this one.....

Colts should gallop away with this one.

Clear fork shouldn't have to play starters after half. Don't see galion scoring unless it's against the backups.

And man, clear fork looks like a BIG physical team on tape. Looks like they got some athletes as well.

This is going to be ugly. I just hope that we can come out on the other side reasonably healthy.

Don't you have a ref to complain about or something? The funniest thing here is that even after JA leaves the conference the big, bad D2 city school still is about the 3rd or 4th best team in the conference.

We Harding homers don't see us as "big, bad D2 city school" only you outsiders see that. You live in the past when Harding was D1 and making playoffs and placing kids into D1 college football. Times and kids have changed.

Times certainly have changed. Since Harding started turning in their gear, instead of playing in week eleven, the rest of the MOAC looks like this. Clear Fork and River Valley each with four trips to the playoffs, Galion with five, North Union with six and Pleasant with eight. I would say you are the one living in the past.

Not so fast my friend, I know what Harding is now, the rest of the MOAC folks think they are playing and beating the HHS teams of the mid 90's to early 2000's. No one is surprised if they lose now. These kids are all about the me not the we.

Clear Fork comfortably.
League play starts to bring Galion's record into proper perspective.
Good Luck Tigers, hopefully no injuries and some good things to take away from the game.

Ok, I've bitten my tongue for a long while. Maybe it's because I'm a mom that I see things from a different perspective. I'm the mom of a Harding football player who works hard and has friends and teammates who work hard. Believe me when I say, you HAVE NO IDEA what some of these kids are up against. Because if you did, you wouldn't post things like "mostly undisciplined collection of wannabe football players".
I have seen things and heard stories that have made me lose sleep. For instance, the football player who walked an hour and a half home from practice EVERY DAY because he was too embarrassed of his family situation to ask for a ride. Or the kid my son dropped off after practice who then stood outside his house in the pouring rain for 20 minutes because his dad couldn't get off the couch to let him in.
I'm sorry they don't live up to your holier-than-thou standards at Pleasant or Galion or wherever. Try to remember that these are kids you are insulting before you post your sarcastic, mean-spirited posts.
ETA: I should have added that no kid on any team deserves to be talked about like this, no matter the situation. Quit being a jerk.

I think you should worry about galion lol, man that team is horrendous. How have they won a game? JA beat Harding just like they have the last few years, there's many d1 schools that JA could beat. But man is this forum full of some city hating hicks. I've always liked galion and there fans. They're good people. I lived there quite a few years. Every school in the moac I enjoy playing, besides north union and pleasant. But there's my input.. I'm sure half of you never seen the field in high school LOL

usa70pp must have filled up water bottles for a county school his high school career or something. When you were probably still in grade school I was flying with Air America while working for Christians In Action. A great way to spend my teen years. So say whatever you wish, I've heard a lot worse in more languages than you've heard of.

I know for a fact because I picked one up walking home because his parent "forgot." I have seen kids dropped off 2 blocks from their home so no one could see the house they lived in. City kids and county kids are all the same. The difference is expectations are not the same. I would hope you wouldn't change your expectations of what a kid can do on the field based solely on what they are experiencing outside the football field.

I understand the misunderstanding with Divisions because from where you are sitting playoff football is irrelevant, but do yourself a favor and go watch the playoffs go watch the 2nd round on and you will see what I mean. Look at a D5 game look at the rosters and skill levels the go watch a D2 game and look at the same things. There are differences and they are substantial. I will give you that in Harding's case it may not be that big of competitive advantage but # in general do have advantages.

If you honestly believe that your lack of knowledge about football is even greater that I had originally believed. Do you really believe that the level of football and the quality of competition in the MOAC is on par with the TRAC? Even in the down OCC this season no team from the MOAC is touching Ashland or Mansfield. Don't believe me ask someone from CF. You probably also believe that TCC doesn't have an unfair advantage over public D3 schools or that NSP is on an even level with the rest of D7.

One team from region 25, one from region 27 and two from region 28 are better than Norwalk St. Paul. There may even be a better team in NSP's region 26. Toledo Central Catholic maybe or maybe not has a "unfair" advantage.

What's funny is both sides in this debate talk about Marion being a "city", like it was Toledo or something.
