That is an Interesting thing to see. I surprised myself that my team was able to climb back into the mix. My offense has been red hot since the all star break. I had a horrible start to the year and the way it finished is proof how important every week is. Good luck to the last 4 guys and congrats to everyone on another great year. Looking forward to next year.

.... and the way it finished is proof how important every week Truth! I remember saying to myself the past two years during the playoffs that I need to fight for each point every week. It's tough to do every week. I tend to get a 'screw it' mentality during the season in regards to maybe getting a half point by streaming a Sunday pitcher or gambling for one category by exposing myself to losses in two others(chasing k, QS or wins at the expense of ERA/Whip) I do make a point throughout the season to try to never get beat 11-1 or 12-0, even if it means dropping a guy Indont want to just to get a category on Sunday. It seemed like your team(BROW) got better when you became a seller at the deadline. The guys you got rid of may have had more talent, but the guys you took on to fill those holes seemed to fit your team better.

Just a heads up, the consolation bracket games still mean something in regards to draft pick odds.
I don't think we're going to reinvent the wheel in the draft order process, but I do think we'll split it up 1-6 and then playoff teams in the last 4. We'd essentially just have two lotteries. Well vote on it though. I'm on a business trip til Wednesday, then I'll try to get some of the votes in in the days following.

Just finishing a long season irl and had to work the osu/tulsa game saturday. got home yesterday and inadvertently took a 3 hour nap. woke up about 15 minutes after rosters had locked for the 7pm games. Just saying my season isn't quite over. I know I've already been clubbed and tossed on the cart...but holding on to the last week or two because it's all I have left in terms of 2016 fantasy sports.

....when your season comes down to CC Sabathia...
Need a W or some IP and few hits and walks.
40 IP difference between our teams this week, so WHIP could move up to.15ish.
also adding Skaggs the night before he was Poop down as one of my 5 adds this week was kind of killer as I was already going to be behind on IP

I can't believe I lost because Sabathia can't throw to first.
What a bum. Oh well. Here to hoping Kimbrel comes in and gives up 20 hits

Congrats to TIG, certainly a close one.
I feel like I just watched my worst fears about one week playoffs play out this week. My offense was great, my pitching was ok, but I couldn't make up for the nearly 40 IP difference in teams due to scheduling luck. 40 IP is roughly a 5-6 extra SP advantage TIG had this week due to a number of reasons. I had no two start pitchers, TIG made a smart move by adding extra pitchers with his Adds from the week before, and the issue was only exacerbated by my terrible Tyler Skaggs add and a handful of injuries. I'd guess I held the per 9 advantage in most pitching counting categories, yet lost all of this categories. 5 transactions this late in the season is just not enough.
Had I won, the same issue would have reared its head this week, as I was lined up for quite a few 2 start pitchers, which would've already given me the advantage over a team that should technically have the advantage over me.
I didn't look much into SITHs side yet, but it appears he had a down week....which happens I guess, but obviously is terrible during a one week playoffs.

TIG made a smart move by adding extra pitchers with his Adds from the week before, That was my one real advantage over you this week. The last week of the regular season didn't matter to me in the standings and didn't impact the league standings.

two weeks is better, one week is kind of anti-climactic even tho you two put on a good show
i caught Upton on probably his worst week of the year, and my offense was due after shagging it for about 3 weeks now
i was trying to decide who i would rather NOT face in the Finals, because i haven't done very well against either of you two this year...1-2 vs South and 1-1 vs tiger, with my 1 being a 7-5 win that i barely eeked out...i guess i can at least feel good about not having to face Kershaw twice

The last week of the regular season didn't matter to me in the standings and didn't impact the league standings. Yeah and I was scrambling then. I needed all my trannys each week, couldn't really afford to look forward. A two week matchup for the playoffs at least gives you 10 transactions to sort things out late in the season. In reality, there's more reasons than just Sabathias inability to throw to first as to why I lost and it's likely a 2 week matchup wouldn't have saved me anyways. My guess that Fulmer would be shut down by the playoffs instead of Velasquez, Keuchel or Cole was, in hindsight, a bad call. HOU not putting Keuchel on the DL was a handcuff. The rain delay during Kershaws perfect game bid was untimely. The stolen base by Myers reviewed and reversed was unfortunate. The Sabathia terrible throw to first on an Easy inning ending double play, and then immediately giving up a 3 run HR was the inevitable nail in the coffin on a season that hasn't felt like it's been going my way since about week 3.

The longer the finals matchup, the better chance that the best team wins. It sucks for someone like SITH. It just so happens this is the week his team didn't live up to how it's been for most the season. Even the very best team is going to have a bad week here and there. Even the very worst teams are going to have great weeks. Unfortunately, I think we saw two of the main downfalls in one week playoffs in the first round. Personally I tried to predict my rotation starting about week 12(how many two start pitchers I would have for each playoff week), but it was nearly impossible until about week 20-21....about then I realized I could be in trouble during the first round, and would likely be set up well if I made it to the finals(although Darvish was pushed back-originally had Kershaw, Fernandez, Darvish + on two start this week). Once TIG added a few pitchers for our matchup in the week before our matchup, I knew for sure I'd be under in IP, but I didn't think it'd be that much of a deficit( a lot of 5IP outings this week for me) The ironic thing is, Of the Two main downfalls of one week playoffs(IP, Bad week), TIG used one(IP) to offset the other (bad week) in order the pull out the victory. Like I think I said previously, smart front office move.

All you have to do is pull my last 7 or 15 days stats to see why I lost. Only 2 of my batters were better than .300 and half are under .200. Hard to win that way...

i think i speak for everyone in the league when i say this policy of letting injured players linger as DTD for weeks on end without ever placing them on the DL is a quite annoying
