Congrats tigeralum01! I would like to say I was just happy making the playoffs but with such a poor showing I'm not all that happy. Already looking forward to next season!

Congrats TIG
I will spend my offseason writing a well crafted letter to CC Sabathia telling him how he owes me $450.

With Jose Fernandez dying, and being one of South's top pitchers, I was thinking about having maybe an unwritten rule, that if a member in the league feels like they have been wronged by baseball Gods at no fault of their own, he can post his grievances and desired compensation and we as a league can vote if it is founded and potentially award compensation with a majority vote.
For example: Pronk was upset that he drew the bottom spot when he was in last place, and desired compensation. We all voted on it, and said no.
So I'm not saying that if an owner has something bad happen, he should always get compensation (draft pick, whatever), just that he should have the opportunity to have a vote thrown out for him and then accept the mob ruling.
Thoughts?

Thoughts? I have been wronged by the baseball gods! My first ever minors draft pick, and now probably the best young RH pitcher in the game. I mean, if you all gave me both the first pick in the active draft and the first pick in the minors(not what I'm requesting), it still wouldn't return remotely close to the value of Fernandez and Tavares. But I think that's a good idea and kind of how its unofficially run. Just now it would be officially unofficial. It'd be interesting too, to make the owner suggest his own compensation. Overshoot and it might get shot down, undershoot and you might leave some on the table.

Here is my 2 cents-
I dont want to see the active draft get so small that it becomes irrelevant. I enjoy trading picks that could matter. I dont want to be a league that keeps a whole team. 20 just seems like way to many to me. 5 draft rounds is very small. Gives teams even less wiggle room for error.

Man still can't get over the fact of yesterday events took place. As far expanding the rosters I think you bring up a good point on roster size and the active draft becoming less important. I'm on the if it ain't broke don't fix it but I'll roll with the majority.

Not gonna lie. I was tearing up as gordon rounded second...and then when he got home? Damn...just heartbreaking. As much as he meant to baseball fans around the world it has to pale in comparison to what he meant to the guys in that clubhouse.
Also...8 votes in...

Does that mean I get to vote since I won a division?

Since the season is over, probably. Did we ever decide when the 3 man committee changes from one season to the next?

3 man vote changes over after the season lock. At least it has.
These votes are this season, and were meant for a bit earlier but I got pretty busy, so last years division winners are the voters.
We haven't used the 3 man vote in some time, but we used it for a few things early on.

Rosters lock in about an hour.
We will push the remaining voting until the start of February. Should be a decent time to vote.
More than likely, we will run the minors draft the same as last year. People with under 10 minors declared get extra picks at the beginning, before the expansion.

as much as i'd like to expand rosters i voted to keep them at 15, i agree with tiger that it helps keep some skin in next year's draft, and i also think that 15 is sort of a natural cap on an owner's ability to dominate the league out of existence...so i think those things are important
more minors is a nice consolation, and definitely increases your roster flexibility if managed carefully
