absolutely. The reds finally put hamilton on the DL and then still waiting on strasburg. It makes it hard with move limits.

Yep.
For me it was the combo of Keuchel and the Marlins moving Stanton off DL to use him as a pinch hitter once or twice a week. Hard to make moves at a crucial time in a Keeper League.

i always think about Devin Messarasco and that Reds fiasco last season, but man if Danny Salazar is out for 3-4 weeks with a forearm strain then for the love of all that is Holy please put the man on the 15-day DL

Yep that is the main thing I hate about the end of the baseball season. teams get lazy with putting players on the dl. Good luck to you guys in the finals.

i agree.... if I had advanced this week, I would have been screwed by the Indians not dling Carrasco or even Kinsler for that matter on the concussion dl.

When are we going to vote on this stuff? I imagine after Sunday the people of the league will not check the ESPN site very often. It would be nice to know things like if keepers are expanding next year, 2017, or not for my decision of which 15 to keep this year.

Sorry, yeah, been a bad combo of business trips, moving into a new office and the fantasy league blocked at work....
Let's get a list of the essential votes and we'll knock them out quick this week. Some votes can wait until February start up to take place

The ones I'd like to see would be:
Expand keepers to 20 (must keep 15): Yes No
All playoff games are 2 Weeks: Yes No
Ones I think are worth pondering: Expand minors to 20 Add more DL spots
I've always wanted some kind of rule to discourage stashing active players on minors rosters, haven't figured it out yet. Like maybe, can't add a player to a minors roster once he has x many big league at bats or IPs. Idk, just thinking out loud without really thinking it through.

If we are adding more keeper and minors then I would be all for cutting the service time and our putting a limit on active guys being added to minors list after so many AB/IP.

I don't like cutting the service time down. One thing that's worked pretty well and has been established is the way our minors have functioned. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I don't think it's broke IMO.
Lots of players haven't really developed into fantasy relevant players by 1 year MLB service. Do you want to really want to roster a player on your minors for a few years only to have to drop him after year one because he hasn't fully developed? It becomes more likely that a player is very near the player he will be by 2 years MLB service.
I'm ok probably going to 20 keepers. I'm ok with increasing minors rosters I'm not really that OK with doing both.

was just a thought, i've never noticed it to be an issue
i can see expanded minors rosters being a pain to keep track of...so i could go either way on that...but i'd for sure like to see keepers upped to 20

Yeah, I can't really point to a specific time where it happened. It's just a worry that if minors rosters got big. I don't really have enough room on my minors roster to do anything like that at this point. I'm with the majority here as well that I'd rather see active expand than minors.

Wanted to let everybody know that I'm in new hampshire through tuesday this week and flying home wednesday. Assisting at nhms for the nascar cup championship. I noticed the poll though and while I'm working 13, 14 hour days through the weekend and my phone battery needs to be used primarily for work I'm trying to stay up to date with the league. Figured we would have some votes to look for soon. Funny...just got an email informing all of us there is a poll up.

he was my favorite pitcher to watch, what a beast on the mound, the best right-hander in the game imho...and he just announced not that long ago that his gf is pregnant...what an awful loss for the Cuban community and for the Baseball World in general...hard to wrap my mind around this honestly
RIP

I can't comprehend it. I've been sitting here reading for the last 30 minutes, since I woke to about 10 all caps text messages.
I can't say he was my favorite pitcher to watch, but he was right behind Kershaw.
I just loved the person he seemed to be. Always upbeat. Anecdotes all over the Internet of him being a kid in a league of men playing a child's game.
