Lexington defeats Galion 10-0
Ontario defeats Clyde 7-0
Clear Fork defeats Norwalk 2-1

In the Sectional Finals of local D2 OHSAA tournament.
Lexington defeats Columbian 9-0
Huron Defeats Edison 2-1
Ontario defeats Mansfield 5-0
Vermilion Defeats Clear Fork 7-0
In D3 Sectionals
Mansfield Christian loses in first round to Eastwood 6-3
Willard lost to Ada 2-0
In Sectional Finals Eastwood defeats St Peters 4-1

Last year for the District Final game between Lex and Ontario they had 3000 people with GREAT seats at Arlin Field. I have no idea where they're going to put 3000 at Lexington. AND the view points won't be near as good.

Lexington wins a District Championship by beating Ontario 2-1 in double overtime. With just over 3 minutes left in the 2OT, Lexington sophomore Ryan Parker scored on senior goalie Matt Weaver to end the evening and win the game. Both teams played a good defensive game after scoring early in front of a full crowd of local fans.

Bay Village beats Lexington in regional semifinals 4-2. Bay Village is the current #1 ranked team in D2.

Lex girls over Ontario 4-2. Lex scores 2 goals in final minute.

Small little shout out to Galion Soccer (Boys), a couple of days ago as they played Clear Fork to a 1 - 1 tie at the end of the first period. The Tigers went on to lose, 3 - 1. This first period tie (even though they lost the match) shows a huge improvement for the boys soccer program. I can understand why one might think that this is really small potatoes in the grand scheme of things; but for the Tigers, it was nothing if not a moral (and "morale") victory. These boys (and girls, on that side of the fence), had only 5th and 6th grade intermural soccer (locally) until Galion instituted a high school soccer program just three full seasons ago. Clear fork had only lost once prior to the match played in Galion. OK, I'm off of my soapbox...…..  |

My point here/there is that Galion's kids look at Clear Forks record, thus far (that being 5 and 1 as of the date of their match), and not the future record of games/matches not even played yet. Just keeping it "real", so to speak. ;-) However, I do get your point. |

I believe the kids should most surely celebrate playing well but they should also know that the 5 Clear Fork wins were against teams that each only had 1 win at the time of the Clear Fork and Galion game. I'm also for keeping it real. |

Last night #5 ranked Lexington improved to 11-1 on the season with a win over Madison 3-1. This gives Lexington a share of the OCC Title with one OCC game to play against Wooster at home.
