Not for me. Price isn't a factor. I'm not a big leftover pizza guy so my wife and I are ordering a 12"-14" pizza and truthfully a pizza that small rarely breaks the bank.

If I stop at Little Caesar’s for $6 hot and ready I know it’s not going to be great, but for that price it does the trick for the fam

The best Pizza I ever had was worth the price, if you like mushrooms. It had 4 different mushrooms on it, including morels. Very little sauce, mozzarella cheese and fresh Italian herbs. That's it. It was some time ago at a nice Italian restaurant in Indianapolis. I just remember I thought the price was steep for a 12" pizza. It was highly recommended, so I ordered it.

What is your favorite pizza joint around this area. Please don’t tell me about some place in Chicago or New York. And no big chains, I want to hear about the good mom and pop places in the local towns. I like the Pizza Wheel in Bellevue Ohio This was the post that started the thread in 2018. Stopped at Pizza Wheel first time in a long time. What happen, is it under new ownership ? Gotta say the pizza we had Saturday wasnt good, seamed extremely salty.

Leaning Tower was one of the first pizza places in this part of Ohio. THE first in Mansfield. Early 50's I think. It survived a big fire and a robbery where someone was shot. Best sub around their basic pizza sub.

Tried Dougie John's Pizza in Findlay the other day. it was just an ok pizza to me. but the wife didn't care for it. Not overly flavorful, i wouldn't go out of my way to get it again.

Was over on the western side of the state in Greenville ohio last week. Had pizza from Teaford's Pizza. Something hot and spicy about it. Not sure if it was the sauce or the pepperoni. We all liked it, I would recommend this one.

Maid Rite is a little place out there, been around since the 30’s My family likes them. A classic Maid-Rite – loose-meat ground beef I guess with mustard onions and pickle.

Was up at the Strongsville Mall yesterday Christmas shopping with the family. We stopped at Buca di Beppo and had pizza and lasagna. It was way too expensive and got to say we didn't think either were good.

Had a frozen Gino’s East deep dish pizza yesterday. It was pretty good. What’s the best frozen pizza.

Tried Marco's in Mansfield for the first time in a long time, it didn't get any better, still just an average big chain pizza.

Found a great pizza place in Zanesville, Picnic Pizza. Very good sauce, great crust I would definitely go back. You know you're up for good pizza when the guy making it is named Vinny.

I'm going to ruin this thread because I'm cheap and simple..
I buy Tony's Pepperoni Pizza at grocery store, then buy Hormel Pepperoni for extra Pepperoni, slice up green peppers, then add canned mushrooms

I'm not crazy about them, but I saw this AD and it piqued my interest. So I bought one at Krogers. It was advertised as having a croissant crust. I really like croissants so i thought why not. Crust was thick, but not doughy, actually a little flakey like a croissant. Added a few slices of pepperoni and more cheese. I would buy another one. Sorry can't remember the brand.

Tried Danny Ray's in Willard recently. Just ok probably wont return but in all fairness I seldom get pizza in Willard. My wife and I prefer a short road trip for a pizza meal. Also as I'm typing I realized we recently tried pizza post in Norwalk for 1st time. Lots of cheese kinds greasy and 6/10. We don't drink when out so this doesn't matter to us but they recently did away with beer and wine. Don't know why.

Those might be fighting words, lol (I say that because I almost single-handedly kept them in business during my teenage years in that neighborhood).

Very thin with a sweet sauce, taste like they rub maybe garlic butter, or something around the outer crust, kinda like Dominos does. That was the part I didn’t care for. Thin and greasy best description, not a big fan, probably wouldn't go back.

mcm1019, Sorry about that ha. I will say that with the decor of the Post I was transferred in a time machine back to 1972.

mcm1019, Sorry about that ha. I will say that with the decor of the Post I was transferred in a time machine back to 1972. Only thing missing is the old jukebox...I dropped alot of money into that thing to hear "Too Much Time on My Hands" by Styxx...and when the convenience store next door was open (The Hitching Post) I dumped the rest of my money into the Donkey Kong Jr. arcade game. It is a thin, somewhat greasy pizza, but that's the pizza of my youth.

Made it to Pronto Pizza, Ashland Rd in Mansfield. Nice to see a new spot open up that's actually worth going back to. They have a really good sauce; I would recommend checking out this spot.
