You are truly showing signs of being completely lazy. But here is what I saw for stats. Don't ask me to proof the site because it's on the internet so it must be true.

Lazy huh?......lol thanks for looking it up.
Tebow had an impressive career and his stats are equally impressive.
Expect a banner year with two of the best coaches in college football tutoring him. Every coach that has been aroung JT has made the comment that he possesses a brilliant football mind. Many expect him to enter the coaching world one day.

Who watched Florida football games when Urban was there? Who's heard of Percy Harvin and Aaron Hernandez? Who's heard of YAC? Who noticed the hundreds of short passes Tebow threw to those 2 players that turned into 60 to 70 yard TD passes, that Tebow got credit for passing yardage? Don't forget the short flip to Harvin on the jet sweep he made famous. Again, that counts as a pass completion and the running yardage went to Tebow as passing yardage.
No mention of his 2947 rushing yards and 57 rushing TDs? Just as important to Urban's offense, then and now, as short play action passes.

We can only hope our guy can do what Timmy did as a senior. So far it has not happened even though he has the same coach.

Actually, JT has had an impressive career, when he had good coaches and good players around him as in his freshman year. Injuries, wiped out his sophomore season and luckily we had players that stepped up in his absence. Last year was a train wreck in play calling and coaching, with no support from the down linemen in front of him or the receivers. Expect a big turn around with this years offense.

Wiped out his sophomore year? He played 11 games. One less than the year before but he dropped in almost everything. This debate could go on forever. I want the Bucks to be undefeated and the Heisman winner wearing Scarlet and Gray and would love to see it be JT, but the numbers don't lie. His stats have declined playing almost the same number of games each season. I hope for the best and would love to see him set the season on fire.

He broke his ankle in the Michigan game in 014, he wasn't himself the following year for obvious reasons. Besides the ankle distraction, the coaching and receiver problems have persisted. Urban recognized this and brought in the right guys to do the job. This is the year to silence his outspoken critics & skeptics and I think he will do that.

galion, also remember that Percy Harvin averaged just over 3.5 catches a game for Tebow and the jet sweep is a run play unless it turns into a shovel pass which typically was when Aaron Hernandez(who average just over 2 catches/gm) was involved. During the 2 seasons all three played together Harvin and Hernandez averaged just over 37% of the catches credited to Tebow so almost 63% was going to other successful targets.

Every coach that has been aroung JT has made the comment that he possesses a brilliant football mind. Notice they don't say he has an amazing arm. When you have a noodle arm and they have to say something nice. OSU doesn't need a coach playing QB, they need a QB playing QB.

DrTorch, I cannot find the stat page that shows Tebow with hundreds of short passes totaling 6,000 to 7,000 yds. Besides anyone can find out that Harvin and Hernandez each only had 1 season with a reception for over 60 yards and neither had 100 catches in those seasons so we know they did not have hundreds of them.

I've seen far weaker armed QB's that were a productive catalyst for their teams success. They have a QB that fully understands the game and has the ability to quick read defenses. It will be interesting to see if coach Wilson may elect to allow JT more freedom to check off and change offensive sets. This can be a huge advantage and create instant mis-matches, especially when utilizing Wilson's brand of hurry-up offensive.

Jet sweeps as Urban runs them are not hand offs, not running plays. The player in motion runs in front of the QB and the QB flips the ball forward as he passes the QB. Thus a pass play, a pass completion for the QB and all "running" yardage is passing yardage for the QB or YAC.

Without a translation. Poor sentence structure. 100's of short passes, many turned into 60-70 pass plays, not all TDs. Harvin and Hernandez were the most famous of the Florida receivers. Others caught short passes for big gains. Including jet sweeps. That's the way it is in Urban's offense, then and now.

Who here watches BTN? Well Stanley Jackson (former OSU QB) is a commentator on BTN and knows more about the QB position than all of us on NCoast combined. He said if you took the names off of all the OSU jersey's then Dwayne Haskins is without a doubt the best QB on OSU. Really unsurprising that Haskins is light years better than JT Barrett.
The sad thing is that OSU will have to blow another year with JT running the show. If JT is the QB the entire season then OSU will NOT win the Big Ten Championship If JT is the QB the entire season then OSU will NOT win a playoff game
Hopefully JT benches himself for the good of the team. All I hear is how smart JT "drinking and driving during the season" Barrett is, if he's that smart then he should know Haskins starting at QB is the best thing for the team.

Rambo, be prepared to eat every singly word you just printed. I want to see an acknowledgement and apology for such a damning assessment, at the seasons conclusion. I'll hold you to that. My take is, you wouldn't be capable of admitting you were wrong or be capable of acknowledging he had a great year, even if they go undefeated, win the Big Ten and win the National Championship.....it just wouldn't be good enough.

Cardale did all those things then got benched for being undefeated...or something. So it wasn't good enough for him it sure ain't good enough for Barrett.

if you could just take pity on me and show me one area where JT was better than Cardale...
...cause Jones did all the things you said JT was going to do and YOU aren't giving Jones much credit...
...how can a QB with less hardware, a weaker arm, a worse record, and dimmer pro prospects be considered better than a kid who went undefeated as a college QB, won a Big-10 title, won the 1st ever College Football playoff, and was drafted in the NFL?
whatever you're smoking sir i'll take (2)...seems like some pretty good stuff

Neither you nor I are in any position to question the judgement and wisdom of the coaches. The coaches know their players and base their decisions on who can best put them in a position to win. Like I said before, if you think Urban is doing things improperly in your opinion, take it up with Gene Smith. We all loved what Cardale accomplished and his story will forever be a part of college football history, but he's gone now, a part of the distant past. The best thing you can do is...do like me, sit back and enjoy the ride. I don't smoke.....tobacco or left handed cigarettes...lol

well i am in a position because i live in Columbus, and i pay State Taxes
and if Cardale had been Urban's recruit instead of Tress's he would have remained the starter
let's not forget people like Urban get where they are because they are hyper-insecure little peens above all else...it was his Golden Boy Barrett who got a DUI and bombed AT HOME to a backup QB, not Cardale
so can the better crap...JT's sentinel moment came @ MIN as a Frosh, a loooong time ago

I'm assuming you have tipped a few beers in your existence, like me, so we must know JT learned the hard way. However, a one time offender, doesn't deserve eternal damnation from any earthly being. Again, allow yourself the joy of what promises to be an excitingly successful season.

I am in a state of shock and awe. I had little clue I was engaging with such a man of influence right there in the Buckeye City. Not only are you on a first name basis with Geno, but his wife as well....lol Now that you've revealed we have a pipeline to the inner circles of Ohio State athletics, NorthCoast has taken a significant rise in prominence.....lol

everyone knows i worked at OSU for years, i've met posters inside the Shoe/Schott on a number of occasions while at work, my last season at OSU i had field access for home football games
i've done events at the Smith's house before, they are like the nicest people you will ever meet, which makes it awkward when i have to bash him for messing up our Bowl Ban
